Passing through Trenton, checked TA for a good place to eat. TA said this place was #1, I wouldn’t eat at any of the other 9 if this is the best. I’ve known folks from here and most of them drive to Chiefland or somewhere else to eat out. We had one of their specials (roast beef)and there was nothing special about it. They did have good sweet tea. Years ago this place had a good following but I never ate here back then. Probably won’t be back.
This place was Hobos but is now back to being called the Boarding House. The inside is still a train motifs and they no longer have a salad bar or buffet. We ate there on a Friday night and only had a small wait time. My wife had the fried shrimp and they were very good she said. I had the NY strip steak and it was very good also. Perfectly cooked and was severed with three sides. Wine list was about standard but offered variety. All in all we were pleased and will probably be...
Hobos I must say is not a bad place to eat at all. After church, we all go and enjoy a good meal with lots of laughter. They have a buffet on certain days. The menu prices are reasonable and the service is great. They added an extension I think they have karaoke. It's a clean atmosphere and they will accomodate big crowds.
