I was pleasantly surprised. When I walked in and saw that you ordered from the counter I thought "oh no the food here is fast food". We sat down at a table and the food was brought to us. My companion's Greek Salad was both beautiful and delicious! My Moussaka was very good. I still prefer a full service sit-down restaurant, but this one will do in a pinch.

Walked in was ready to order and I saw a cook in the back touch his head and then touched the onions and scallions without gloves on. Disgusting we walked out.

Great food and service! Wish it was closer to our home. Please open a location in south Sarasota.

The best Greek food I have ever had!!!! Made me miss Greece. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. Very authentic Greek food. Incredible service. Loved every dish!! If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out!

Eehhh....just so-so the chopped salad was different....never had a chopped salad with anchovy, shrimp and the protein I picked was gyro meat but the thing that caught me off guard was the potato salad that was in there. Half chicken was good. The Greek-a-dilla was good but different. I'm sure they have a following but this Greek food isn't what I'm used to.

Nice ambiance, but it stopped there. Food tasted horrible. I asked for fries in my gyro as they claim it was "traditional". The guy said they don't put fries on their gyro but i can order a side of fries. Pita was chewy. Not impressed at all. I ordered a side of spanakopitas. Horrible. I feel like they were made two months ago. Was so excited to try this place but very disappointed.

Nothing Fresh here. I ordered a Gyro with a Cafe Salad to go. I basically got gyro meat on a ton of shredded lettuce, onion, cucumbers & nasty out pale tomatoes. And I paid extra for the lettuce & cucumbers! The dressing was out of a plastic sealed container (no homeade here) and a pita came straight out of a grocery store. The salad had 1 peppercina, 1 olive and some unidentifiable cheese on it. Used think it was a treat to go to one in Safety Harbor but this one serves mostly shredded lettuce and stale pitas.

The Greek salads were awful! Worst food we have had. They use shredded lettuce (sub lettuce) , the veggies were blah, the Greek dressing had no flavor to it, and the chicken was dry and bland. Best thing was the potato salad! Service was slow , 35 minutes for a takeout salad there was no one ahead of us.

I have been a fan of Louis Pappas' since its original location in Tarpon Springs. Later, when I moved to Lakeland I was really happy to frequent that restaurant. I just moved to Sarasota. Pappas did not disappoint. Very nice people with great food.

I mainly went here because it was right next to the hotel I was staying at and their menu looked good. I had the Mojo Pork sandwich (I know, weird to order at a Greek restaurant). And it was great! The pork was moist and the mojo was very flavorful. I also had the Greek fries and they were very good! I will definitely eat here again if I am in the area!

Unseasoned chicken in the gyro. Cafe salad was only ok thing, but they didn't even cut the cucumber, or tomato into smaller pieces... aka seemed lazy. Greek rice bowl was made of too much Spanish rice, not enough chicken. Would not go there again. Tasted like frozen chicken and pre packaged Tazatki. Seemed like nothing was fresh

Visited University Park location in March 2020 right before the world went crazy over C--19 during our first trip to Sarasota area. Hubs visited the original Louis Pappas in Tarpon Springs as a child and was thrilled to find the new fast casual concept was just as tasty. We returned during a visit in March 2022--On both visits, The chopped Greek salad (add chicken) was delish. And the potato salad at the base of the salad...wow! Highly recommend!!!

They should take the word "fresh" out of the name of this restaurant because the food was anything but. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and it was the worst I've ever had anywhere. You know when you have 5 day old chicken in the fridge you should throw out but you heat it up anyways in hopes it will be ok, then you instantly regret your decision when you take a bite because it tastes funny? Well, that's exactly what I believe they served me. And the Greek "fries" are potato chips. The spanakopita was decent and my aunt enjoyed her gyro platter. But serving old, tough, dry chicken is inexcusable. Will not return.

We had a Greek salad and a gyro. Very tasty. Was clean, very roomy place to eat. Looked like some interesting choices on menu to try.

We ate there today and I was so surprised. The staff was delightful and it was a simple restaurant with wonderful food. We were four and each ordered different things. You better be hungry when you go because the portions are large. My Spanakopita with chicken breast and spinach with artichokes and an avgolemono sauce was great. The gyro my husband ordered was full of meat and onions with taziki sauce. He loved it. Our friends enjoyed the Falafel and Gyro platter. Also raved about! Salads with shredded lettuce, feta and pepper and olives. Refreshing. we will go back soon....maybe this weekend.
