Super cute spot! Food was delicious and so tasteful. Even the picky teenager devoured the pork and yellow rice! The Florida peach tea was so refreshing! Will be back!

We saw the sign for crab cakes and had to try them! Too bad they were all gone by the time we dropped by for lunch. So my husband and I highly recommend the Chicken and dumplings. He’s a Florida boy who visited family in the Vernon area years ago. These are right up there with the ones his mom, aunts and Mamie made. I tried the Lawanda chicken salad and potato salad. Winners!! I had the chicken salad in a sandwich. The bread was crispy thin and the red onion was perfect. The potato salad is one of the best ever. We sat outside at the picnic tables today. Couldn’t have asked for a better place and meal. We’ll be back asap for those crab cakes. 😎

Excellent little restaurant! Stopped by for lunch. The team was very nice and efficient.

Three of us- two of us got Crab Cakes- one with salad the other without. They were only $2 difference in price and I would have liked a little bigger “salad” part but it was great. The crab cakes looked like there might have been a bit of filler but they didn’t taste like filler! Lots of crab flavor and great seasoning. Honestly I’m the top 10 ever! The salad part was small as mentioned.

My husband got the Cuban - it was panini pressed which was nice. Good authentic flavor of the pork and ham, with the mandatory pickles and mustard. He said the highlight was the potato salad! He said it had great seasoning.

Overall a really great lunch! Cute decor as well.

This is a fun little place with wonderful staff and creative, tasty food and sandwiches. Love the redneck reuben and the mojo pork especially.

Ate here for the first time today. The goat sandwich and potato salad were excellent! My husband had the crab cake sandwich. He was very pleased with it.

I took my family out to dinner at Effie’s table to try something new and it was absolutely amazing! We all got different things and we were all very pleased by not only the food but the cozy atmosphere as well as the friendly staff! 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be back!

Unbelievably good!! We had the Chicken n Dumplins and the Cuban. Best we have had of both anywhere! Love this new local choice. Will definitely be our lunchtime go to!

Stopped in to check out our latest Eatery in Vernon. Cute little diner with a good selection of food. I had the mojo pork tacos, they were very good, but I felt the sour cream overwhelmed the subtle flavor of the Mojo. Nice people, and I look forward to coming back and trying more of their food.
