Food was subpar compared to my previous experience.
I think I heard there’s a new chef, but I am not certain of that.
The quality of food and how it was prepared did not meet the standards I would expect for the price.

We had to cancel our anniversary reservations but I really wanted to make sure we came at some point. I really enjoyed the Caymus happy hour. I found a pinot noir I actually love! Service was slow on getting us fresh drinks. Happy hour food was good. I would like to come back and enjoy dinner.

Seafood subpar the stuffed flounder had no taste nor presence of crab meat just breading. The scallops were rubbery and chewey. She crab soup was a joke! Warm milk with chives not a flake of crab! The lobster bisque had good taste but lobster meat not present, they use a tiny sea shrimp meat instead. The chopped salad does not have real bacon, it was some sort of smoked bacon bit that over powers the taste of the salad with artificial smoke, the salad itself, was wilted and the ranch dressing was very weak. The Creme Brulee was merely cold custard with sprinkled burnt sugar, not a caramelized sugar crust to crack into. Wine was not palatable sent it back. Yeast rolls were dense pre-frozen yeast rolls that were under proofed hockey pucks with pineapple juice and butter basted on top. Sitting like rocks in my stomach. The gray goose martinis were decent, rated an 8 out of 10.
The service and all staff were very friendly & attentive! The atmosphere was lovely. The food was just not on point.

Enjoyed the atmosphere, excellent service! Thanksgiving presentation lacking with variety of traditional items piled on the plate. Mistakenly chose the pumpkin pie surely not prepared in house, rather something from a box thawed that morning! Pecan pie looked delicious though.

First time to this establishment. It is gorgeous. My review comes from a vet being in the F&B biz for 35+ years. I dined at the bar. Beautiful bar. Menu - classic, with local takes. There was a new bartender, McK, who was a bit overwhelmed. She will get it and be successful however, she needed support last night. It seemed as if every bartender, I believe 3 of them, including McK, was on an island and not wanting to assist one another - but especially McK. While there is a learning and training curve for all people in new positions, they also must have the support of the teammates and management. I will say the bar/restaurant probably was bit busier than expected for a Halloween night - typically a slower night especially for upscale dining. Chicory Salad was refreshing. Pork chop cooked perfect. Tots fried in tallow were delish. Asparagus with hollandaise, cooked perfect, hollandaise congealed right out of the gate though. Probably would go back to support McK - but a team-oriented service needs to be considered.

Parking: Most of the prime parking spots, which are somewhat limited, fill quickly when busy.

Our server was excellent .
My filet was to be medium well, couldn't eat to red. Mashed potato's were runny. 14$ for those. You never send a steak back to recook because it dries out. Our server tried. But we didn't have time. Also it was our anniversary. Just expected better food for 145.00$

Adding to our "regular" list. Very nice place with multiple ambiances: bar (hopping), indoor dining (serene), and outdoor dining (seasonal 😉). Worth it to experience all three.

Pro tip: the daily (7 days a week)! happy hour (3-6 pm) is an excellent introduction.

Ambrosia 30A Prime Seafood and Steak has potential, but it just didn’t live up to the price point. I had a New York strip steak and a wedge salad, and while they were good, they weren’t exceptional for nearly $80, especially with sides costing an extra $12 to $16 each. I also tried two Sazerac cocktails—they were okay, but nothing memorable. On the plus side, the wine selection was nice, and my wife enjoyed a glass of Caymus Cabernet, which you don’t often find by the glass.

Service was just okay. Our server tried hard, but for a place with this kind of price tag, she didn’t have the experience needed to match the expectations. The ambience was also lacking. The restaurant is located in a retail setting near a Publix grocery store, and while they tried to create a nice atmosphere, it didn’t quite justify the high-end pricing.

The hostess could use some additional training. Within the first two minutes of entering, I was already put off—not because she was rude, but because she just didn’t have the polish you’d expect from a place like this.

**Ratings:**
- **Food:** 3/5 – Good, but not worth the price.
- **Service:** 2.5/5 – Effort was there, but not the experience.
- **Location:** 2.5/5 – Retail setting doesn’t match the upscale prices.

Overall, Ambrosia 30A needs to step up its game to deliver the kind of experience you’d expect for what you’re paying.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time over the weekend. Let me preface this by saying we don't mind spending money on a great dining experience. Unfortunately, this was not it. The waitress was not very informative about the menu (overheard the waiter at the next table over inform the table of all the things). The cocktails and appetizer were good (Nola shrimp). My husband ordered the ribeye. It was not cooked to order nor as flavorful as one would expect, and the side (mashed potatoes) were over-salted. Mashed potatoes were replaced with mushrooms, which were fine. My crabbed stuffed flounder was tasty. We ordered creme brule for dessert and it was as expected. The decor was lovely but needed more sound dampening material. Overall, a disappointing experience for the price paid.

From the moment my husband and I walked in to the restaurant, we were kindly greeted by everyone. It was a beautiful experience and not one detail forgotten! Our waitress was so attentive, gracious, and polite... making our anniversary dinner extra special! Thank you all so much and we will definitely be returning soon! Andrea M.

Fantastic experience. I would absolutely go back again and again. All of the staff we interacted with were pleasant. Greyson took care of us and he didn't miss a beat. Service was great and all plates were appropriately coursed. I have nothing but positive things to say. Im sure all of the mains are delicious, but you HAVE to get the loaded mashed potatoes.

We had the most amazing anniversary dinner at Ambrosia. Grayson was our waiter and he went above and beyond. He was attentive and engaging and gave wonderful recommendations. After 9 years of marriage, this is definitely the top 1 for dinners! 10/10 recommend.
