Alacruz Grill

This restaurant was superb. The pesto pasta was divine as well as the drinks and appetizers. The food was fresh, flavor and simple. The ambiance is clean, fun and more upscale than you would expect. The customer service is some of the best I’ve had and the owner made the experience so much better. I can’t recommend enough. Perfect for date nights or birthday dinners. They are very intentional here. Thank you!

We had an incredible dining experience at Alacruz Grill! We started with the Burrata Alacruz — absolutely delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For entrees, we had the filet mignon paired with the mixta salad and a side of mashed potatoes — everything was cooked to perfection. Our kids ordered the pasta and chicken tenders, and even their plates were spotless by the end! We finished the evening with the Mr. Tango and the Chocotorta desserts, which were both outstanding. Every bite from start to finish was amazing. We’ll definitely be returning every time we’re in the area!

One the positive side, the outdoor terrace is a lovely place to sit, especially now that the weather has cooled down. With planters and greenery all around, it doesn’t feel like you’re dining in a parking lot, even though technically you are. The host was very welcoming, and we were looking forward to a nice dinner.
Unfortunately, the meal itself was a disappointment. I ordered the Argentinian-style short ribs without realizing they’re quite different from the traditional short ribs I’m used to. That alone would have been fine, I enjoy trying new things, but these were almost entirely fat, not meat. At first, I tried a few bites, hoping for better pieces, but quickly realized most of it was inedible. Using the table light, I examined each piece more carefully, but even those that looked promising turned out to be just fat. I made it about halfway through before giving up. The texture reminded me of overly thick bacon strips with barely any meat.
When the waiter asked how everything was, I politely explained the issue, but nothing was done. Another guy also stopped by, and I gave the same feedback, but again, no action was taken. On the positive side, the beer was cold, and the dessert was unique and decent. Still, for the price, about $160 total for three beers, two entrées, and one dessert, we expected higher quality.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this place, though perhaps others have had better luck. Either way, I would strongly advise against ordering the short ribs.

Our experience was exceptional from start to finish. Amazing service, and easily the best meal I've eaten in 2025! Every bite of every dish was phenomenal. We already can't wait to return!

Alejandro and his staff are great, even better the food. Between the ambience, hospitality, and food/drink it’s right up there as the best dining facility in Wellington. 6 out of 5 stars, wife and I just had dinner and everything exceeded our expectations. The dessert menu is also second to none! Thanks for a great dining experience Alacruz!

We were greeted very kindly by the owner of the restaurant, he took us to a table at the back of the place where we waited for someone to serve us. After waiting for more than 25 minutes and seeing tables that had arrived after us being served, we left.

We have lived in Wellington 25 years and I will say, all was 1st rate. Probably the best dining experience I’ve had here in Wellington and matter of fact in the County . Great tasting food, served healthy and excellent service and value , all in such an ambient setting !
Will definitely recommend, and will return .

It’s hard to share some of my favorite restaurants because I feel like they get so filled. I can never get tables, but this is just one that I cannot keep to myself. We had the pleasure of stumbling in last Saturday for dinner with my wife and daughter. The experience was truly exceptional. The atmosphere is one of my favorite restaurants I’ve ever visited and the food is by far down 10 out of 10. There is nothing on the menu that I didn’t think was exquisite. we had a new waiter Daniel today help us at the table who truly tried to make our experience unforgettable. The first visit we had from what we found out today was the owner Jackie’s son who was nothing but exceptional and Jackie, who we met today as the owner has put together a very special place.we are so happy to have something close to where we live and will be frequent customers for sure.
