This restaurant serves cuban dishes but is not authentic cuban food. The cuban bread was stale, the black beans tasted like they came from a can. The garlic sauce tasted like melted butter. The food was decent, the service ok. It’s cuban food for people who have never had cuban food.

Stopped by Don Ramon Restaurant in Wellington for lunch and it was a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is attentive, and the food really delivers on flavor.
We tried the churrasco, the baby churrasco from the lunch menu, ropa vieja, and calamari fritos. To start, the chicharritas were a perfect appetizer, thin, crispy, and very addictive. The churrasco was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the baby churrasco was just the right portion for lunch without sacrificing flavor. The ropa vieja was rich, comforting, and cooked to perfection. The calamari fritos were crispy outside and tender inside with just the right amount of seasoning.
All of the main dishes came with the classic combination of white rice, sweet plantains, and black beans, making each plate feel complete and satisfying. Overall, Don Ramon Restaurant serves delicious Cuban dishes. I just realized I did not take any photos of the food lol.

Seriously? I got the piccadio and there was no seasoning except for a huge amount of salt. The most disgusting order I’ve ever made. How can people say this place is good am I ordering the wrong thing because my meal went right into the trash Disgusting and uneditable.

Don Ramon Restaurant
Missing authentic Cuban food that brings back memories with every bite? Don Ramon is the perfect place. The service is top quality, and the servers are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

They serve freshly made juices—I highly recommend the mango or passion fruit. The food is full of flavor and tastes homemade. Everything from the appetizers to the main dishes is delicious.

If you’re craving real Cuban food that feels like home, Don Ramon is a must-try!

The food at this location is always good! The last visit there were lots of servers standing around to help but our waiter was hard to find. Music and atmosphere are good.

The best Cuban cuisine I have ever had. The boiled yuca was tender and coated in a flavorful oil. The chicken was soft and delicious. The rice was flavored with exquisite seasoning. I don't like plantains but these were divine and came with a delicious dipping sauce. As a picky eater I highly recommend this place. The service was good too and the atmosphere felt authentic.
