Brown stew chicken was hard and tough. Oxtail was not tender. Even the plantain was dry. Shouldn’t serve old food. I rather you tell me you are out of food.

I don't usually go to this location. The person who answered the phone question was nice, and I ordered a mini stew peas without the meat. That food has always been one of my favorites ever since growing up in Jamaica.
I ordered the curry shrimp with rice & peas with extra gravy on the rice. the rice was over cooked & no gravy like I asked for so I brought it back for a refund owner did not want to give me a refund. gave me a hard time instead & was very un-professional I'll never go back there again don't waste your money at this place
I went in and bought a j*** chicken lunch special.I never seen anyone give such a small portion of food before not like this.The lady cut a leg quarter in pieces and still put a piece back into the container smh.The chicken was dry please just save your money and go somewhere else

First let me say I never ever give reviews because I’m usually too busy and do not want to bother taking the time out to do this..However, I cannot remain quiet.Extremely disappointing! Against my better judgment I bought lunch from this restaurant/grocery store,I have purchased food here several times and each time I swear this is going be the last ..just out of convenience ( was shopping in Home Depot )I said I will go here , but no more!!I am a true believer in supporting the Black owned Businesses.However, this particular shop seems to go out of its way to hire employees that have either a sour attitude or just absolutely no personality, at all!!!!! When sharing the food, whether it be a lunch meal or a dinner God bless the pieces of meat that they put in The container. Before you know it they have turned into Jesus with the seven loaves of bread and fIsh...They will say we can only put four pieces of meat regardless of the fact that you’re paying for a “full size” aka small meal.So what do the they Do..they cut one chicken leg into 4 pieces and, that 1 chicken leg is considered part of a FOUR” pieces of the meat you’re supposed to get!!So turned off will never eat here again oh and by the way when you asked for gravy gravy looks bubbly and hard I just I’m so disappointed and let’s not go in there with out having cash because then you’re going to be charged EXTRA to get horrible food.!!!!!If I can offer them any advice it would be for them to just remain a grocery store and sell the pieces of scanty items that’s on the shelf that they no doubt probably bought from 45th St. over by Food town.. which they could also take a lesson in learning how to share food from Foodtown when Food town serve you food, compared to this place it’s Thanksgiving not the hunger games like this place is dealing with!
