Applebee's Grill + Bar

Very upset with this place, server was very good and nice but the food absolutely disgusting. My girlfriend and I came here last night and my order was messed up, didn’t have something that was on the menu and on top of that the food was cooked wrong. I want my full money refunded or something because I’m thinking of never coming to Applebees again after this experience. Please contact me back asap or I will never be returning to any Applebees going forward.

My family and I came in Sunday night and we had such a wonderful experience. The bartender Lauren was our server and she was fantastic. So personable and made it such a fun experience. The food came out hot and delicious, our drinks were always full. You can tell everyone working there enjoys what they do. We will definitely be back!

Me and my boyfriend came here on Tuesday and found hair cooked into his mac and cheese, the manager apologized and encouraged us to come back, so we came back today. We ordered chicken tenders and fries and my boyfriend bit into one of the fries and ran to the bathroom and threw up. Come to find out it had a chunk of mold on the fry. A different manager came over and took $10 off the bill. Not even the whole entree. My boyfriend has now thrown up twice since we got home because his stomach hurts so bad. One of the worst experiences we’ve had back to back.

While in the area, we decided to stop at Applebee’s for a late lunch/early dinner. Yes, it has that familiar chain‑restaurant feel, but we were lucky enough to be served by Jessie — and she was outstanding. She hit every mark for customer service and added a few extra for genuine hospitality. Truly one of the highlights of our visit.

I ordered a whiskey sour, and it nailed all the right flavors. For my meal, I stepped a little outside my usual choices and went with the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. It’s a Cajun‑seasoned chicken and blackened shrimp dish with buttery garlic, parsley, sautéed mushrooms and onions, and garlic mashed potatoes.

It arrived sizzling hot, and it was absolutely delicious. The mushrooms and onions were cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes were phenomenal. The Cajun seasoning on the chicken was exactly what I expected, and everything on the plate hit the mark.

We don’t have Applebee’s in Atlantic Canada, but if we did, I’d put it in the same category as Montana’s — consistent, comforting, and exactly what you expect no matter the location. What I do hope, though, is that every Applebee’s has a Jessie. Her bubbly, happy, energetic personality made the whole experience better. It’s refreshing to see someone who genuinely enjoys their job.
