Their sashimi is great! Their fish were great and melts in your mouth. The slice is too thick for me though. I gave them 3 stars coz i ordered Beef Misoyaki and their NY strip steak is just as tough as my rubber slippers and the rice is not what i expected: The side veggies was good and the salad? Naahhh… Not really. I would come back for the sushi but not for their combo meals.

Great sushi spot. Sat up at the bar for some hot saki and nigiri on a Friday night. Attentive service from the chef and the server. And the toro, uni and hamachi nigiri were all out of this world.

We were extremely spoiled in our original location as there was an all you can eat sushi restaurant that had quality searching. After scouring Tampa for an AYCE, we found the sushi quality was pretty terrible at these venues. So we knew we needed to find a more traditional sushi Avenue.
Bonsai sushi is right up the road from our New Tampa apartment complex. We first checked it out the fall of 2022. We were very pleased with the option for sushi as well as the quality. While it was a pay by roll option, we felt the prices were reasonable. We have both dined in at the establishment, which is great, often very quick, and relatively clean (though very cramped), as well as ordering out and we've always received quality sushi and fast service no matter the option. We are very glad to have patronized Bonsai and are not looking forward to finding a new place when we move states soon!

As a regular customer, I highly recommend the Doctor’s Roll—just trust me on this one! The balance of sweet and savory is perfect.

If u are going looking for a job , don't come to this place , the girl in front is an excellent human being , but the owner is nothing like that . she's racist and rude , she treats people badly without knowing them first, I don't recommend this place with people like that , I was loyal a costumer of their food and sushi, but now ham going somewhere else
