Love Bugs Bakery and Donuts

I used to get Love Bugs donuts regularly when my work office was closer, picking up a dozen donuts to share.

This visit, though, was disappointing.

I stopped in around 10am with my wife and daughter, and the biggest issue was pricing transparency. There’s no printed menu with prices, no signage, and no labels on the display. The only “menu” is shown on two large TV screens that say “prices subject to change”, but without showing what the prices actually are. It felt like going to the Drs office and guessing what the bill was going to be.

The donuts also weren’t labeled accurately, which made it unnecessarily difficult to know what you’re getting. Creative flavors are fine, but I don’t want to guess (or ask) what filling is inside each donut.

This time we ordered two donuts and one breakfast sandwich (first time trying the sandwiches). We would have ordered more if pricing was transparent. After leaving, we noticed two window specials:
• 2 donuts + coffee for $5.49
• Breakfast sandwich + coffee $8.99

Using both specials would have cost slightly less than what we paid, while also including two coffees. None of this was mentioned at the register, which felt like a step backward in customer service.

Best donuts in the melbourne area.

My picture doesn't really do this place justice. I would by a dozen donuts for a household of 2 and it would be gone within a couple of days.

All the premium donut options were worth the money. There's lines from time to time but its worth the wait imo.

Nice staff, good baked goods, bagel was ok, cronut and cream cheese raspberry donut were yummy!

Very disappointed when I came in at 11:30am and seen all donuts ran out when I asked for a spoon the spoon was clearly dirty when I left just felt upset due to the fact that the place has never been like that!

This is the only bakery I’ve ever gone to that has excelled at everything, anytime I’ve gone here it has well exceeded my expectations. Great food and very friendly staff.

Will not be back from our experience a few years back when my son was a baby… they would not let us in the store if all of us weren’t wearing a mask including my son… get a grip sheep…

The sourdough bread seems to be made with vinegar versus lactic acid. $12 for a boule… Sam’s club sells better vinegar bread for less.

A HIDDEN GEM !! Been coming here for years & they never disappoint!! Wide variety of selection from bagels , donuts , cronuts , sweet treats and breakfast food !! Biscuits and gravy I love with their homemade biscuits!! Must try they close early so you gotta be early lol

Got a Black Forest cake for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it! Ordering was pretty easy and I did it over the phone. The cake along with a 20% tip came out to $66 which is very reasonable. It was the perfect size for us and made our day!

Delicious, unique pastries! Get there early for the best selection, you won't regret it!

All I need to say is Cronuts…..best ever!!! Sadly we moved away but always make a stop there when back in town!
