I have visited Pau Hana nearly every day since it's opening in early 2023. While I'd like to say the lighting, comfortable seats and room temperature, great drinks, and general ambiance make for a great space to get my work done - I think the honest answer to why I return every day is the community I join there.

The employees and owners have clearly intentionally cultivated a space for customers to make friends, relax, focus on work, or celebrate - as a customer here, the choice is yours. Having frequented many bars with staff that constantly push sales onto customers, or a rowdy customer base that prevents you from focusing on work when you need some space, I cannot express how valuable this place has become to me for standing out above the rest.

Kava Bars are becoming more common given how attainable it is to run a bare-bones bar and make it profitable, but Pau Hana is a shining example of why those other bars ultimately fall short. I have personally experienced the level of effort the owners and staff have contributed to making this place meaningful first, and profitable second. From a customers perspective - this makes an enormous difference.

This place is the best kava bar I’ve ever been to! The drinks and specials are fantastic and the staff are incredible. Everyone here is very welcoming and I will be coming back very soon! Callie gave us the best service and tips on drinks.

I don't drink Kava personally, but I went in to just check it out. Turns out they have non-kava options, too! I loved the vibe and the person working the counter was fun and friendly.

The people and atmosphere here at Pau Hana is great. The drinks are awesome, and the staff are all very responsive & helpful. But I must say, Cali is the best bar tender. She is always on top of things, great to talk to, and is very knowledgeable about the products that they have to offer.

Derek is a phenomenal bartender. Vibes are immaculate and everyone including the patrons are very friendly.

Callie is the best kava-tender to ever do it! When she’s not somehow making my drinks perfectly every single time. She’s cracking jokes and charming the whole bar.
You will never catch me missing a Callie shift!!!

I really love it here. It's like a home away from home. I love coming here and getting some work done. Every kavatender that I've met so far has been really awesome and provided great service and drinks. They have a great mocktail menu and overall variety of drinks. The decor and atmosphere is on point ❤️ and they always have great events going on!

Amazing location!
Had such a blast hanging out today at Pau Hana with Derek, and Sara, and Kay!
Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable about the product!
They walked me through the menu so patiently, and ended up loving everything I got!
(Order the mudslide kava, and a pumpkin pie Lolo! ?)
The ambiance was very chill and not overwhelming like some kava bars can be....I felt right at home and part of the fam the whole time!
10/10 recommend, will def be back again!

Had a great time at this cute little kava bar today. Our bartender was named Derek and he totally made our visit a pleasure! He is very personable and knowledgeable and took great care of my husband and I. We will be back again for sure to see Derek! The kava was also impressive as I usually get an upset stomach if I drink too much but did not have this experience here at Puna Kava. The atmosphere was great, the kava was great and Derek was great! We will be back for more real soon!!!
