Got take out for dinner and was disappointed. Hadn’t been to a Pollo in years and thought we’d try it for dinner. Many missing items and very dry over cooked food. Kids meal prep was missing the juice and cookie, Churrasco Steak platter didn’t include the Chimichurri sauce or any of the sauces selected on the order. Steak and rice were over cooked and dry even the sweet plantains were dry. Definitely check the bag before leaving for any take out orders.

Against my better judgement I went sat in the drive thru for 10 plus minutes only to be told sorry no bone-in chicken this is during peak dinner time I avoided this place for over a year saw the building was repainted figured change had come gave them a chance only to get dissatisfied… for the third time I am asking do the community and your brand a favor and shut this West Melbourne location down .

First time there and it was just okay. Service was friendly but mixed up the entrees (regular vs. large). Portions of rice and beans were healthy. I had the chicken and not very visually appealing. Can't get the garlic taste to go away. Husband liked the beef. Says it was tender and tasty.

However, this time I witness Lydia, the manager, being super patient and pleasant with what looked like a very new employee. It was very nice to see ! Will definitely start making this a regular dinner spot again!

This location is better than the ones further south. They have mashed potatoes with gravy which is my favorite side. The chicken is fresh and hot. The service is fast and friendly. For a $10 fast food meal you can't beat the quality.

I first asked the girl at the counter for the tostones with ropa vieja on top. There were posterboards and other advertisements for them on site. She said that it was being discontinued, plus they were out of tostones anyway. She asked another girl to verify if they were out, to which she said that they were. Oh well then, or so I thought. Opted for some chicken all-the-way tropichops (2). While waiting for the food, the 2nd girl who said there we no tostones left, pulled out 2 bags of tostones and split about 7-8 of them (frozen). Aha, I thought you were out??? I did not make a big deal or say anything at all, but i thought it was shoddy customer service.
I asked for yellow rice in my tropichops and unfortunately, some of it was undercooked (slightly crunchy).

Out of lettuce
I live in North Carolina now and we don't have Pollo Tropical there so whenever I'm in Florida, I buy as much Pollo Tropical as I can and bring it home with me. There are plenty of these restaurants in South Florida but the fast service and proximity to I-95 is the reason why I prefer stopping at the Daytona Beach location.

I would like to express my disappointment with my recent experience at Pollo Tropical. The black beans appeared to lack their characteristic color and possessed an unpleasant acidic flavor, suggesting they may have been stored for several days. Furthermore, the rice presented inconsistencies in flavor, with some portions lacking salt while others were excessively salty. Additionally, the meal was delivered with the container open, and there were no napkins or utensils provided in the bag. This experience reflects inadequate service and raises concerns regarding the freshness of the food offered.
