Cakes Etc

I am not really sure how to say this, but I used to buy cakes from a lady that went by the name Annie Pearls. So when I heard that she had a storefront, I was excited to buy a cake. I’m not sure who baked the cake that I got for Christmas at this Bakery, but we were all so disappointed When we cut into it and had a sliced after Christmas dinner. It was supposed to be a sweet potato poundcake. I did take a picture. The sweet potato portion was a thin layer settled on the bottom, and not swirled properly through the cake. It was barely any sweet potato in there. The cake had areas of dense sections where it’s almost doughy And it wasn’t sweet at all. Underwhelmed is me being generous. For $65 I expect the cake to be good. I can’t recommend and I just don’t understand if you don’t know how to make sweet potato pancake don’t sell it just stick to what you know.

I’ve ordered two cakes from them for different occasions this year. Words can hardly express how satisfied I am with the cakes. She is meticulous in her work. The cakes were identical (if not better) to the inspiration photos I chose. Most times you have to compromise the taste for the design but not here. The cakes are delicious! I will continue to order my cakes from here for any event that requires a cake. I also enjoy that the cakes are VERY reasonably price considering the size, detailed design, and the taste.

I had Cakes Etc for the first time at a Friendsgiving and I must say, WOW!!!! Everything was perfect! The cake was beautifully made and tasted even better than it looked. The red velvet cupcakes were absolutely amazing! You could really taste the love and the unique blend of Haitian and American flavors. It was the best mix; rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. I’ll definitely be ordering for my own events in the future!

Had a cake for Friendsgiving and it was absolutely amazing! The texture was perfectly soft and moist, and every bite was so tasty. It wasn’t overly sweet, just the right balance that made everyone go back for seconds. Well, me.. thirds. Lol The presentation was beautiful too, almost too pretty to cut into. I would 100% recommend.

Outstanding!! Wonderful!! & Delicious!! I received 4 cupcakes for my birthday from Cakes Etc yesterday and they were so good I just had to write a review to tell y'all. What a wonderful birthday surprise they were. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. From my experience I can say they have the tastiest cake and icing recipes around and nicely decorated too.

I truly enjoyed this class, Monique took her time and gave us tips that were very helpful for our future in cake designs. I highly recommend Cakes Etc. I will be returning for more classes.
