Great breakfast. I really enjoy the atmosphere and memorabilia about Cuba everywhere. Every time I go there, I enjoys ordering extra items from the bakery to go after sitting down for at least an hour listening to others chatting. I am Cuban so I am probably a little sentimental about the place and music that stirs childhood memories.
This place is the real deal for an average white guy (me) wandering in at 5:30am to practice his Spanish and wake up with some cafe con leche. Clearly a proud Cuban family serving their neighborhood with hard work and authentic food. Sit indoors or outside on a patio that has the makings of a Havana party. A little hardscrabble, but the lack of pretension more than makes up for it. Real people scraping out a living and feeding folks in the process. Far better choice than a soulless...
