I was really excited to come here for the first time. They have a sweet little outdoor area with a water fountain. They offered a number of specials, but was out on the one that I wanted, the turkey roulade.I ended up with a roasted pumpkin apple bisque, a fall salad and a palm cake followed by the brunch chicken sandwich. My only suggestion is to leave off the onions on the fall salad because there were too many and it interferes with the delicate flavors of the other ingredients. I had to remove all my onions. the turkey rod.
Brunch was great. Service was great. A Updated from previous review on 2025-11-29

Ah that cake was too delicious! Great food also
Food was delicious! The price is a bit high for what is offered, hence why 4*. The atmosphere is great for a romantic dinner.

We've been eating here for over 7 years. I'm not sure what's going on, but the quality has dropped off drastically the past year. The NY Pasta used to be incredible, now it tastes barely seasoned. And that is really the theme to my complaints. Not just smaller portions than they used to give, but the food just isn't seasoned properly. I would've never said that 3 years ago. It remains a great place service wise and atmosphere wise, but I really hope they fire the chef and get someone new. It's bad enough the most popular dish (The Wellington) was removed from their menu awhile back. I'm guessing they changed chefs. Some things remain great like the raw nachos and other apps as well as their deserts (pricy, but good). But their entrees have become increasingly lackluster. I'm posting this out of my love for this place. It was once our favorite and now it's a place we'd rather ignore, but we just keep hoping it comes back around.

So obviously, this is a twist on the original ie, no ham or eggs, but the inclusive of tomato was different and worked pretty well. I’d give my eye teeth for someone to create a mock-poached egg, but the scramble did fine, the tempeh ‘bacon’ was really tasty and just the right amount of crunch, and the potatoes we’re deliciously spicy, at times overpowering the hollandaise, which should probably be the star of the dish. The service was great and they have a good wine list. Nothing was too pricey.
I enjoy coming here for dinner. I often get surprised by the ‘specials’ and end up choosing something there, instead of the main menu. Their chefs are so talented and the servers are all so warm and welcoming. The non profit concept is also one of my other reasons for loving it here.

I’m not even vegan and I’ve been here twice! I went back a second time just for the Hummingbird Cake and Sweet-potato Fries.

Darbster is one of my favorite vegan restaurants to visit. The food is great. They have amazing raw options. The staff is lovely. Added bonus proceeds go to animal rescue. My favorites are spicy hummingbird cake (its massive), lasagna, the raw vegan brunch, Italian sliders, and the pear gorgonzola salad.

This was my first time at Darbster and I was so impressed! The atmosphere was warm, dog-friendly, and relaxing… perfect for a night out with my two pups.
I ordered the nachos with vegan “steak”, and they were absolutely delicious. The flavor, texture, and balance of the toppings blew me away. It was hearty and satisfying without feeling heavy.
For dessert, I had a scoop of their vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, and it was the perfect sweet finish.. creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of indulgent. I also had two Nutrls, and it all paired together beautifully for a laid-back, feel-good meal.
Darbster completely exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for clean, flavorful plant-based food with a chill outdoor vibe (and dog-friendly!), this place is a must. I’ll definitely be back!

Unbelievable, they treated my daughter and I differently from other guests. They weren't welcoming and they barely came to the table. The food is subpar and the customer service is trash!
