We knew from the wedding cake tasting, the cake was going to be delicious, but it truly blew us away. Not only was it BEAUTIFUL and exactly what we envisioned, but the amount of compliments we received and the amount of times we heard that usually wedding cake sucks and this was the best cake period they've ever had.. truly says it all. It was beyond delicious. The next day, we had countless guests 'fess up' to eating more than one piece. Allison and Victoria were a pleasure to work with. Earth and Sugar is a MUST for any special occasion cake. 10/10 recommended.

3 weeks prior to my son's 30th birthday celebration, I had begun discussing having a special and custom cake made for the party. We were discussing the final details THAT WEEK of the party, and they told me they were sorry they could not fulfill my order, that they just "got too busy." Poor business practice! They lost what could have been a loyal and repeat customer and someone of influence who could have spread the word. Not only was it an inconvenience for me at the last minute of planning a big party, they also shot themselves in the foot.

Our cake baker was chosen by our venue but we couldn’t have picked a better one ourselves! The taste was to die for and it was so hard to choose which we wanted after the tasting! As well, the design was great- exactly what we explained and wanted!

Awful experience, the owner, Janderyn is a bully and is highly unprofessional. She continued to argue with me via email after telling her I suffered a seizure in 2022 when I couldn’t show up for my cake tasting. She tried charging me an additional $50 for cake samples, since they messed up my tasting the first time because I am vegan. Janderyn “attempted” to gaslight me via email, despite the multiple conversations that I had with her staff over the phone, to which my dietary restrictions were discussed at length. Having being a vegan for over 10 years, I didn't appreciate this at all. When I sent her screenshots of the phone conversations I had with her staff, she did not take any responsibility and continued to argue with me, saying that I had to provide these details in an email, in writing. I looked at the initial tasting email which said "any allergies must be provided to us beforehand, no later than 2 days prior to your appointment." This was provided to her staff over the phone.
She also had the audacity to copy my wedding coordinator on an email, after telling her I would be talking with the resort about my experience with Earth and Sugar. She was unsuccessful and copied the wrong planner. Lol. It was a really pathetic to do that when we were paying close to $50k for our wedding. I will not recommend a company who is not compassionate, deceitful, and disorganized. There are plenty of other awful reviews that echo the same experience on here and on Google. I'm so happy I worked with Sweet Tiers!

Victoria was very helpful during the ordering process however the cake was not what I ordered at all. I requested white floral only, and received pink and purple, and the semi naked finish was minimal at best compared to the picture I sent for reference. I also found the cake to be very dry and the salted caramel buttercream was not very tasty. All in all I was very disappointed and had much higher expectations considering other reviews.

I can't say enough good things about Earth and Sugar. The tasting, communication between the staff, cake decorations, and customizations were all outstanding. Being Italian, I really wanted a smaller olive oil cake specially made for my family and they made it happen! I also ordered a larger wedding cake and it was absolutely delicious. My husband and I decided on 2 flavors: chocolate chip cake with chocolate and vanilla filling and the strawberry lemon cake. IT WAS DELICIOUS. Highly recommend this bakery for all occasions but especially weddings.

We had to come from out of town for a family members birthday and ordered our cake here. We scheduled for pickup at noon. We got there at 1:45 and they told us it wasn’t ready… You could see them in the kitchen just starting the cake. Ridiculous. Probably won’t be ordering here ever again.

UPDATE: I’m adding two starts to service because Earth & Sugar reached out to me this morning to offer a partial refund. They were apologetic and I appreciate that.I had extremely high hopes for Earth & Sugar based on the other reviews, but it turned out very differently for me. I ordered a cake for my engagement party and I was super excited for it. The design was great, however the words on the cake were squiggly and looked like they had been done last minute. When my fiancé and I tried to cut into the cake it was incredibly difficult, and then I tried a slice of the cake… It was very dense and doughy, almost like the consistency of raw cookie dough. I’m not sure if it was undercooked, or if the recipe had been messed up, but it was incredibly disappointing for paying $475 for the cake. I reached out via email the next day about my cake and no one ever responded to me. I will be going to a different bakery for my wedding cake.
