Very disappointed to have found out Fong's was no longer the same Fong's my family and I had been going to since the 90s. New management is one thing but a new menu/price increase of 30-40% per plate means it is now a different restaraunt entirely. After only ordering the House Special Lo Mein combo for so many years, hearing its no longer and option but a more expensive standalone plate killed my initial impression of the changeover. However, to give credit, the people working in the front were kinder than the recent staff prior, and the overall food quality was still good with the chicken wing combo albeit smaller portion. But it is not Fongs Garden of old, I'd probably be more likely to return if they rebranded to fit their new identity rather than mislead a few generations of families that reminisce on the old days.

Updating Fongs Garden... Last night I ordered Mongolian Beef and it was outstanding. As good as the best Chinese I've had in New York City or San Francisco. BUT, the pork dumplings? Meh... I' going to keep after this place to improve. New owner needs to: Remodel. I've been to bus stations in Haiti with more elan. Open the back area. Plenty of space for a fun crowd. Improve menu. Bring back egg foo young. Come up with a signature dish. New restaurants left and right on Dixie. YOU COULD BE THE BEST CHINESE IN THE PALM BEACHES. Don't let Echo fool you. Their food is great but their prices will break anyone earning less than six figures. Yelp users, visit this place and let's get some good asian cooking.

Have been going to this business now for over 2 months and it has been super consistent. Great food, great service, typically we get take away but the staff is always super helpful with anything we need, the place is clean and nothing looks dirty or disgusting as previously mentioned in other reviews. Would absolutely recommend this business for great food locally. 12 out of 10. Always good and always consistent.

It's a WOW! Finally, after 7 years of searching the byways of West Palm Beach I found WOW Chinese food. I'm convinced West Palm Beach has the worst Chinese restaurants. Really bad. The best of these restaurants recently closed on Dixie Highway but it was not a WOW kind of restaurant. It was good and some dishes were WOW but not all. The Wonton Soup - eh. It was okay, but not WOW. So tonight I found Fong's Garden on Dixie Highway - WOW! I've passed it many times but never stopped because my wife - WOW - has lived in WPB's south end almost all her life and never tried the place. Doesn't matter now because it recently opened under new management and WOW. I "call" Chinese food by the first slurp of the Wonton broth. And the egg roll. Both WOWS at this newly managed Fong's. I was really nervous ordering at Fong's because my wife is under the weather and asked for matzo ball or wonton. Given that I've not found a WOW matzo ball soup I gambled on the wonton. Good move! Also took home egg rolls, sesame chicken and chicken and vegetables. So the wonton is not an all caps WOW but still a wow. The broth needs flavor. It's good, no funky taste, but no depth of flavor. Sesame chicken - WOW. Chicken and vegetables - wow. Take my WOW for it - Fong's is worth your time and money. Small on the inside - only 3 tables - but who eats in? Easy parking, too. Try it! My search for Chinese is over. Now if we could only get a WOW New York deli.

The place is super clean and ingredients are way better than before. I had Boston style lobster sauce amongst many other dishes; it was awesome everything was great.

My family and myself have been eating here for years and years and years. But unfortunately, we got food there tonight and I should’ve known when the phone was answered that it wasn’t the same people that are now running the place. It is under new management with a new menu not only is the food more expensive but you get half of the food that you used to. The size of the eggroll is about half of the one they used to have the combination dinners specifically the sweet-and-sour chicken that I get for my children comes with about 10 pieces of extra breaded chicken one before it was far more in the rice is about half of what it used to be. It’s really unfortunate because the taste of your food still remains very good, but it is now more expensive by several dollars per item and half the food.

Used to order from here all the time when the older gentleman and his son ran it. All of the food tastes differently and not for the better. Such a bummer.

I have always ordered from this location, the food is great and the service is equally great. Had no idea until later the prices changed. But still great no matter what.
