I've been here quite a few times, typically for dim sum. The food is always excellent. I always recommend this as a local spot. Their udon is also amazing!

We just relocated to West Palm Beach from New York. We have visited Florida previously and we tried several different Chinese restaurants in the West and East Coasts. Grand Lake Chinese is one of the best. People complained on these reviews about a lot of YT people eating at this restaurant, hmmm it's WPB, most of them retire here. But the personal is 100% Chinese, the owners are Chinese that relocated here from New York... So you will not have a fluent English speaker waiter/waitress but you can definitely communicate with them. To people complaining about no smiles, maybe you need to learn a little bit more about their culture. The food is excellent, flavorful, juicy and the hot oil is spicy and tasty. From now on this will be one of our go-to places for Dim Sum and Chinese cuisine. We did not missed anything from NY, I though I was in Chinatown or Flushing NY...

Very disappointing dim sum and worse service. They forgot to submit our order and then missed part of it (we never received our pork chang fen and they were out of bao.) The sticky rice was insanely expensive for such a small portion (over six dollars for ONE wrap smaller than a pack of cards) and they charge $1 PER CUP of tea. Patronize at your own risk!

Rip off central! Tiny portions, high prices, waited 45 minutes to find out that nobody put our order in. Waited another 45 minutes to find out that half of the order was never submitted. If you want disappointment, you found your spot! Everybody around us ate and left twice while we were here. They also charge per cup for tea. Every other place charges per pot.We even watched a lady on TV for 90 minutes: She was making her own rice from scratch and ate well before we did... It became a joke at our table that wasn't funny.

Very good Chinese food for what's out here. Probably the best Chinese food within 30 minutes from me. All the meat and fish were fresh, brown sauce was pretty good, good fried rice. I got take out but it looks like more of a dine in place.

As soon as we walked in, we had a feeling there was something unique about this restaurant and perusing the menu. We saw very wide variety each dish that we ate was a little better than we had had it anywhere else before they were three of us, so we tried a number of the dim sum dishes the service was prompt, accurate, helpful. What can I say? The food was delicious

Four out of four dishes were below par. Couldn't finish. Not good at all for a place that comes recommended as one of the good Chinese restaurants in the area!..

It was my first time, it was a to go order. I was surprised how cozy the place was while I waited for my order

Florida is not the best location for certain food types, Asian food being one of those. However, Grand Lake Chinese still manages to produce an above average range of items on their menu, and a high quality of taste, that is not run-of-the-mill. I often get delivery of pick-up from the restaurant, and, so far, haven't been able to find anywhere else local to me that supplies the quality they do.

This is a place where you bring your large family and they happily seat you. Some tables have lazy Susan's spinning in the middle! We have been back 4x now and will continue to. This is one of the nicer Chinese restaurants with delicious dishes. There are always Chinese people here, along with others. They are kind up front, seat you usually right away, and have dim sum menu + normal Chinese menu. This is a place where you bring your large family and they happily seat you. Having lived in Brooklyn, NY, all my life I was skeptical about going for Chinese food in FL, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The service was good, the food arrived hot and flavorful. I will definitely go back.
