Overall, extremely impressed. I've always enjoyed their sister property. Buccan, but grotto is a different kind of place entirely. Great ambience, very friendly and outgoing service, excellent food with a calm, ambience and noise level where you can actually have a conversation over dinner. A great upscale neighborhood restaurant. Will definitely be back.
Food last night was outstanding. We had the baby kale salad and tuna tartare to start. Then the salmon (delicious), snapper on the swordfish setup, and the cauliflower. Everything was incredible. I love the current menu. Socrates is a phenomenal server. He remembered my preferences after just one visit.
Place was very busy for a Friday night in the off season. Server, Socrates, was fabulous. Chicken parm was super tender and delicious. Tuna tartar was also excellent. Pizza is always good.
