I’ve been a part of the kava community for years and consistently try any new spot I find. I’ve ventured into countless different tea rooms looking for “the one”. After stumbling into Hakuna Makava because of a friend’s recommendation, I quickly became a regular. Don’t get me wrong – Palm Beach County has some incredible kava spots. That being said, Hakuna offers an experience unparalleled in the kava community. Here’s what you can expect:

- A spectacular and extensive selection and presentation of teas, shells, mixed drinks, and other products, all customized to each customer’s personal taste.
- An environment with thoughtful décor, designed for comfort – the recently expanded/remodeled space offers an original mix of modern elegance and coziness. Pool tables, game nights, movie nights… the snug and tasteful vibe is perfect for a solo trip or to catch up with friends.
- Unparalleled service and expertise from the kavatenders – their combined multi-decade experience has made each of them knowledgeable, innovative, and passionate about their product. Consistently attentive & devoted to an overall stupendous experience for each and every customer.
- A vibrant, welcoming, and dedicated community. There’s really no surprise that Hakuna has created a loyal following where people come to satisfy their thirst, or simply spend time with friends.

In summation: Hakuna is truly a gem and has my vote for best Kava bar in Palm Beach County. 10/10 recommend giving the spot a swing – I’m certain you’ll be returning shortly after that first visit! Taste buds = tantalized.

for lack of better words, this is the best place to find chosen family. all of the regulars & employees are extremely kind and personable. the environment is as comfortable as could be and the positive energy is always high <3

This is by far the best kava bar I have been to. The best and friendliest staff. Josh and coral are the best kava tenders anyone could ask for and the owners blake and Danielle are the most kindest souls on this planet! If you are in West Palm Beach and need a drink, I recommend stopping in!

The atmosphere is really awesome, they decorate for every holiday and recently doubled the size of their space. They are known for the gatherings they throw like Flow Friday, Poker Night, Game Night, Ladies Night, Trivia Night, and more. The tea is a lot better than other places I've been because it is brewed fresh on-site and they don't pre-flavor it. Some places make their products from concentrate, making the tea gritty, and pre-flavor all their tea's leaving less discretion to the consumer. As someone who tries to avoid processed sugars, I do not like a pre-flavored tea. Come with a friend, your dog, or alone, there's plenty to do (pool table, board games, books, coloring books) and everyone is pretty friendly.

This place is the best!! The atmosphere is so relaxing and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the clientele is amazing. They host tons of fun events, and just finished a huge renovation and added a huge back room

What an amazing Kava bar! Visiting a friend that lives here and I’m from Toronto and wish we had this back home!

I give this place 5 stars across the board because of the lovely environment and the sweetest owners! The Hakuna fam is awesome and it’s definitely a place that I always make time to stop at when I’m in Palm beach. Amazing drinks and they just opened the other side of their bar with a pool table and upstairs loft with a couch/tv/games. Come check out Hakuna you won’t regret it!

They host so many events, gaming tournaments, bad movie Mondays, karaoke Fridays, and so much more. They have great tasting teas and decent coffee. This is a place for everyone to enjoy and have fun! Highly recommend on stopping by and checking this spot out.

Coral was extremely knowledgeable about all of the products available at this kava bar. I have been to multiple kava bars and I loved her energy and how informative she was. My friend and I had a great experience here and we will be back! She is a rockstar :)

My friend took me to Hakuna for the first time when I was going through a rough time last year and it has since become my Third Place. I love coming to Hakuna weekly to hang out with my friends and the vibes are just immaculate. My favorite event recently is Bad Movie Mondays. My friends and I try to come basically every week for it!

Small place but super cozy and friendly!
I am not sure what they do differently here, but their kratom teas taste so much better than most kava bars I have been to. I really enjoyed the vibe here. I will definitely be back.
