Could be a great place but the dogs are out of control! Major problem. I'm thinking of calling the health department. We went for Brunch. Food but dogs at the bar while food and drinks are served has to be a health violation. Total turnoff and my friends and I won't be back until they get rid of dogs at bar. Let us know

Taco Tuesday ? The best at Cityplace (Rosemary Square for newbies)? Great drinks and people?

Cute backyard area. One of the only places downtown that you can actually stay 6’ away from other diners.

What a trying year to have a wedding! Postponing our original May date. Then losing the first venue. Fortunately, we came across this wonderful place! Now we can't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. The whole staff was so helpful in making it a special day. Also the courtyard space we used for the celebration was absolutely beautiful. We kept it small, but there was plenty of space should you need it. Thank you Palm Beach Hibiscus for helping us create a wonderful lasting memory.

Hibiscus House is a hidden little gem in the middle of downtown West Palm Beach! An old Florida Key West -style house, nestled among lush vegetation, awaits you! Close to great shopping & fabulous restaurants. Enjoyed a Spectacular Sunday Brunch by Chef Carrie Lee! Great casual outdoor bar. Perfect for watching your favorite game, while enjoying delicious bar fare. Super FUN weekend get away!

8/28/2020: My Girlfriend and I went to the backyard bar and was very disappointed. None of the staff that we saw were waring a mask. Not even the manager. The food was not good at all. The menu was only 6 to 7 items. We ordered the philly cheesesteak sloppy Joe and the salad. NO FLAVOR AT ALL!!!!! This place is suppose to be under new management. Well they need to work on that. NOT HAPPY!!!!!! Way over price for what was served to us. $12 for the sandwich and $13 for the salad. 1st time there and the last time! The only thing that was ok was the DJ. But we didn't want to stay to enjoy the music. NOT HAPPY!!!

We were supposed to go to Savannah for our Anniversary, but COVID had other plans. We decided to stay local and take a chance on a Bed and Breakfast near City Place in West Palm just to have a little get away from staying at home. I selected Palm Beach Hibiscus to surprise my wife. Without visiting, I had pictured a Sundy House environment. It is not quite that, but it was very nice. The Hibiscus House was built in 1917 and moved to its current location in 1996. It definitely has an "old Florida" feel. When it was moved, there was more open spaces around it. Now, you are literally in the downtown area with office buildings across the street. City Place is a two block walk from Hibiscus. For dinner, we took Randy's recommendation and ate at City Cellar which was fantastic (get the Blue Crab Crusted Sea Bass)! For our anniversary, Randy has a bottle of champagne waiting for us! The new general manager Shannon did a good job of trying to meet everyone's needs. We took Randy's recommendation to book the Hibiscus room which is their largest room. It is decorated in "Old Florida" and has a nice old fashioned tub with a very large shower. Some other reviews have said the decor needs refreshing, but I would say it has the "Old Florida" 1917 House feel. If you are looking for modern furnishings, go to a Ritz Carlton! The only reason I checked four instead of five is the same reason I saw in a few other reviews which you need to keep in mind. Part of the appeal of Hibiscus is it's backyard bar. But, if you were trying for a romantic night, you want to make sure you do not go on Karaoke night since the "performers" are literally singing right outside your window. With that one warning, I feel comfortable recommending Palm Beach Hibiscus If you are looking for an "Old Florida" feel for your Bed and Breakfast, in an ideal location if you want to be in downtown West Palm, near many major attractions.

Don't visit West Palm Beach without going where the locals go. Unique Key West / Palm Beach backyard vibe. Let Herb make you something special.

The location was prime and I had done the booking from beforehand. Yet, there were no arrangements been made when I arrived and even the manager was not there.

Nice little gem in the heart of downtown. Stayed here for two nights on a business trip and really happy that we did. It is a little older and could use some light maintenance, but the staff easily make up for the short comings. Everyone seems to know each other but they make you feel right at home. Room was cozy and well kept. Checked out the bar one evening, very relaxed and fun environment. There's a Publix that's a 1 minute walk away if you forgot to bring something. Also, there's a bunch on nightlife just 2-3 blocks north on Clematis. I barely used my car for anything. You won't regret staying here!
