Ordered Snapper. Overcooked, firm and absent of any tenderness. Crab-cakes were ok, but in my opinion lack any 'real' crabmeat. I expected more...disappointed. Not again at these prices.

I have been a loyal customer of hooks for a very long time and this was my first time patronizing this specific location. My bias towards the Palm Beach Lakes location has me in the habit of driving further out of my way because I can rest assured the quality of my food is always going to be 10/10. Today I decided to give this location a shot and was initially taken aback just from the surface level differences I noticed as soon as I walked up the door. Signage is inviting and engaging. Hours of operation are clearly visible, and the inside of the restaurant is very spacious and very clean. When I arrived, there were two other guests waiting inside to receive their orders. They have a self ordering terminal, which I thought was a phenomenal idea. The lady behind the counter told me she would be with me shortly to take my order as the phone was ringing nonstop. I do recall overhearing the guest on the phone inquire about an online order in which she said she never received, and was quite visibly flustered. However, I did not hear her ask to take their order over the phone, so I'm not sure how that was really resolved. From previous reviews, I have a feeling that their online ordering system may be an issue that would best be solved sooner than later. They do utilize a third-party reward system so she took my phone number prior to taking my order. I ordered a four wing dinner with fries and a frozen mix. The first red flag I should not have ignored was the face that woman made when I asked her for a mix, and she was obviously confused about what I was requesting. I repeated frozen mix again just thinking maybe she had not heard me, but she points to the lemonade and I nod in agreement but I had a feeling we would have to circle back to that. This location actually asks if you want seasoning or not on your food, which I'm also not used to, but I definitely can understand the reasoning behind it. I promptly received a confirmation text that my order had been placed and took a seat on the bench next to the pick up area. Wait time for my order was not too bad and the fact that there is a TV inside (even though it wasn't on anything tonight lol) can make for a more bearable wait. While waiting a young lady came in and ordered from the self-service kiosk and went to her car to wait on her food which is convenient. When my food was ready, she called my name, and I approached the pick up counter (I also received a confirmation text). They ask you to check your order prior to leaving, which is so smart and cuts down on a lot of confusion. While I checked my food, she repeated my drink request back to me, and as I heard her putting ice into my cup, I knew she misunderstood what my request was for a frozen mix. Assuming that hooks is like any other franchise establishment, I don't understand why a drink would be called one thing at one location and have a different name at another location. I think that's extremely counterproductive and could potentially hurt business especially for people looking to support the brand and not necessarily just one location. Nonetheless, she politely informed me of my ordering 'mistake' (there's an up-charge I clearly wasn't charged for) and made the frozen drink that I wanted. Kudos to her but they were about an hour away from closing and I'm sure it would've been more of a hassle to fight with me about it instead. The food came out hot and fresh. The chicken was fried nice and crispy but could have used a bit more seasoning. Fries were as expected.

Probably the cleanest hooks in town. They have grits which is a great plus. The only thing was the owners' desire to see credit cards when ordered online and coming in for pickup. Not everyone keeps their cards on hand as it's saved in the phones and sometimes the numbers are scrambled online for theft protection. So asking for cards when people already paid for them on doesn't make sense (owner claims it's to make sure the right people are picking up the order but you do that by checking ID nit credit card). That's the only reason I havw stopped coming here because I want to be able to order online and pick up with my ID and not hand out my physical credit card to anyone (the main reason to order online was to avoid these physical interactions) other than that, super sweet people l. Great quality fried foods. Love their lunch specials too. Great local fried seafood destination!Vegetarian options: SomeDietary restrictions: Shouldn't eat here with heart/cholesterol/diabetes (sugar issues).Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes

When calling in my order I ask for everything to be cook crispy well done the Cooks are excellent, casher are good with taking the order over the phone
Horrible service, they NEVER answer the phone and ordering online makes you not want to be a customer of this brand. These opportunities are easy to fix and not worth losing valuable business.

Horrible service. Food was burnt. And my order was wrong. And gave no utensils no sauce even though I was charged for extra sauce. The restaurant did nothing to fix the problems. Thankfully uber eats gave me a full refund. 1/10

WOW! The food was ohhhh soooo amazing! The moment I walked in I was greeted with warm smiles and a hearty hello. Then the staff was gracious and patient as I considered the menu choices. My order was taken and told a time frame, yet it was ready way before the time she stated. I can NOT recall when I was encouraged to check my order b4 leaving! Great customer service. This was my 1st time visiting , will not be my last. THANKS for a wonderful meal & great SERVICE!!
