Gross all around. The environment is nasty and in need of a deep clean. The food is bland and not worth going back for. Excellent for those who like unseasoned food and like to breathe air from dirty air vents.

THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HAD!!!
Worth every calorie and I count them!
Brittany was great and we had so much fun at this throwback diner. Great coconut cake too.

Now this is what a diner restaurant should be! We came all the way from Portland, OR and noticed the sign then had to try it. All of us had very happy bellies on the way out! Portions were generous. The original furniture and retro decorations made us feel like we were on the set of Happy Days. If you remember that show you will love it here! Plus the staff was awesome. We will definitely return the next time we are in town!

This place was a treat. The food and service were excellent. If you get the Southern Eggs Benedict, just know that the pork is sauced with a mustard based barbecue sauce.
It was a bit hot where they sat us in the back corner, but nothing some cold water and fresh squeezed orange juice couldn't fix.
We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

We decided to give Howley's a try after a long hiatus due to inconsistent food quality.
Their steak fries used to be great, they're now serving skinny fries that came out cold and hard. Mine were inedible, my husband's fries were just as bad, his looked like he got the bottom of the bag with mostly short, end pieces.
I got a subpar, half burned omelette with very little shrimp, cheese and 2 veggies. My husband's omelette also had very little shrimp, but was less burned than mine. Prices are really high for the quality of food we received.
The service was friendly and efficient, but our waitress was covering many tables.
Unfortunately, after another less than great experience we won't be returning.

We arrived at Howley's Friday afternoon to have a nice cocktail before lunch. It was very busy, but we were greeted immediately. (I think everybody read the Southern living article that rated it the best diner in South Florida). We started with the barbecue pork egg rolls and they were amazing! we always get the famous crab cakes and they never disappoint. My husband ordered the coconut cake for a pre Valentine's Day treat and it was so delicious. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Overall is a fantastic experience and worth the wait. I can't wait to go back!

Great comfort food and friendly service from our waitress, Tuesday. It was a new spot for everyone in our party of five, and we agreed it was a good find.

It's always a treat to go to Howley's. Best food. Delicious and unique option. Service is always outstanding. You always have to time it right so that you have parking and a table. Definitely a favorite spot. Especially if there's someone new in my circle, that's never been. We always enjoy taking them and showing them (Howley's) off.

Either Howleys has changed or I've changed. Change is inevitable. Regardless, my last visit was disappointing. My server was nice and somewhat attentive but the food quality has diminished since my last visit. And... $7 for five cold medium sized onion rings brought after the main portion of my meal, though ordered together, is a departure from the Howleys I've known and loved for years.

I’m glad to be back my second time trying other menu items at Howley’s. It was a busy afternoon lunch shift on Saturday. I have to give some kudos to our waitress who was juggling a full restaurant being double sat and in the weeds, her team came and helped her by taking our order and she came back to check on us. Service was fantastic 5/5.
My husband and I both got the fish and chips. The cod batter was flavorless & fish was dry. But we enjoyed the sweet potato fries. His bowl of matzoh ball soup was by far the BEST we’ve ever had in palm beach county! And we’ve tried a few. Overall, I would say I would come back again and maybe try something else on their menu not the fish and chips. Food 3.5/5

The Reubens sandwich was really good, and so were the sweet potatoe fries.

I had high expectations because I normally love the diner vibe, but this was disappointing. The waffle add-ons were expensive for what was offered, it wasn’t that good and the service could have been more attentive when we needed something…
