Recently stopped by this location for lunch and ordered the steak bomb. For $18, I would expect much better. The sandwich was basic and certainly not worth the money. I won’t be returning to John Smith, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I’ve been going to John Smith since I was a kid—at least 20 years—however, I stopped going a couple years ago because the prices have gotten insane. I recently returned to see how things are, and I was shocked at how bad it’s become. My wife and I ordered two different six inch subs (steak bomb and tuna) and a medium fries, which totaled about $25. $25. Worse than the price was the food itself. The steak bomb barely had meat, veggies, and cheese, whereas in the past it was stuffed. And the meat, which used to be juicy and delicious, was dry and sad. To put it in perspective, the wrapping paper used to be covered in juices. The tuna sandwich was no better and was overwhelmingly bread with little tuna. The sandwich used to be packed with tuna. The only redeeming part of the meal was the fries, which were hot and delicious.
John Smith locations in the area are disappearing. Within the last few years I know of two that closed. It’s obvious why: the prices are unreasonable and the portions are insulting. Consumers won’t tolerate it forever. John Smith needs to do better.

Thirty years ago or so I remember this place opening. I rented apartment right around the corner and found myself in here frequently.. got to know the people too and they would literally fill my bag with French fries lol!!! Passed thru and had to make a stop.. just as good as I remember it! The steak bomb is unbeatable!!!! Excellent 👌

Different than the sub chains and call it sacrilegious, but I prefer this place over Publix. The fries are also incredible!

Steak bomb was amazing and extremely refreshing experience vs typical fast food. Will be coming back asap to try the chicken teriyaki.

Jon Smith Subs is exactly what you want from a sub shop—quick, friendly, and delicious. I got a turkey sub and every single ingredient was fresh and full of flavor. The service was super fast, and everyone working there was genuinely friendly and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that gets everything right.
