As citizens of the world, we have dined at famed tasting menus across the globe. Konro stands alone in its brilliance.Jacob and Nadia Bickelhaupt have created a unmatched divine experience that earned our respect and admiration. The complete evening (March 13th) from beginning to end was a finely cultivated Masterpiece, delivered by two artists equal in their own right. Each course was a chapter in a sumptuously illustrated book that Jacob and Nadia narrated through word, smell, taste and touch.Jacob's, (whom I am shocked has not received his third star yet), passion for his craft and ingredients was evident to the minutest detail. After being educated on the ingredients, the history, the taste and how many bites to enjoy it in; we ended each course never wanting the chapter to end, but eagerly anticipating the next. The combination of flavors matched with the non-alcoholic pairing was clearly created by a genius. We were honored and humbled to have experienced it.Lent forbade the experience of the wine match that evening, but we were able to partake in the equal genius of Nadia's knowledge as Sommelier. The wealth, depth and breadth Nadia brought to each pairing was unmatched in any Sommelier we have encountered. I eagerly anticipate our return in order to taste the libations she so meticulously chooses.5 stars seems too few, if I could I would rate with a galaxy.Amber, Selah & Bubbie

Konro offers warm hospitality, intricate and delicious food, and excellent beverage pairings. It is on par with Michelin-level dining experiences I’ve had in the US and abroad in terms of quality, and manages to keep an authentic, welcoming atmosphere thanks to Nadia and Jacob’s hosting. I absolutely recommend a visit.

It’s been over two days and I am still digesting Konro. Not the food. The experience.I don’t think people fully comprehend what Jake Bickelhaupt is doing. I’m not sure I do either. Having dined at hundreds of Michelin restaurants around the world, including places like Plenitude in Paris, Core in London, and Smyth and Alinea in Chicago—Konro belongs in the same conversation. Should you go to any of those world-renowned restaurants, you will find a team of 20+ people working 19 hour days, 7 days a week to reach and maintain that level of excellence. At Konro, it’s Jake and Naida. That’s it.It would be the equivalent of Lebron James playing every team in the NBA solo—1 versus 5—and still making it to the championship. No matter the talent and work ethic, that’s impossible. Yet Jake is doing exactly that. Achieving the impossible. Day in and day out, every week, he is taking on the work of a 20 person team and executing with perfection at the highest level. The result is one of the best restaurants in the country. It is 3 stars by any measure, and it is only a matter of time before he takes home his trophy.I can only think of a handful of restaurants where every single dish was outstanding. At some point tastes diverge between diners. On Saturday, however, I devoured everything, and I left in goldilocks fashion—not too full, nor left wanting.Perhaps more than anything, Jake has mastered layering textures and flavors symbiotically. Each dish was unique from its neighbors on either side, but it didn’t feel like you were bouncing from one serving to the next. On a deeper level, every serving is a dish within a dish, as you draw your utensil from the top to the bottom of the food, exposing layers of texture built upon one another like sedimentary stone. And like sedimentary stone, they do not combine. They complement. That theme—layers upon layers—starts at the granular level with the ingredients, and continues to build from within the servings, to across the servings themselves, with the drink pairings binding between, until finally you’ve come to an end and you’re no longer looking at layers of rock. You’re panning out and looking at a meal as amazing as a view of the grand canyon.I won’t bother repeating other reviewers and describing specific dishes. Nonetheless, I want to address two personal apprehensions that could potentially help others.First, the A5 Wagyu. I have tried more A5 supplements than I can recall, and I am always disappointed without fail. Konro remains a singularity. Get the upgrade. You won’t regret it.Second, the Non-Alcoholic Pairing. I’m not even sober by nature, but I had an early morning flight and didn’t want a hangover. Restaurants always overcompensate these pairings with sweet, sugar filled drinks that are difficult to stomach in multiples. Konro, on the other hand, should open a completely non-alcoholic bar. I would drink their concoctions by the gallon, and am so grateful I went out of my comfort zone. Consider it even if you do drink.Aside from the food, there is also something to be said about Jake and Nadia as people. They are so patient, understanding and kind. The restaurant itself is refined, but the atmosphere they create is warm, welcoming, and approachable—just like them. They have had to go through so much to get where they are, and they deserve every bit of success that lies ahead.Thank you for such an incredible night to remember.Bless you both, and “bless your hands.”

Jacob and Nadia could not have been more excellent. It is clear that each dish is a matter of art-- And what an artist Jacob is! Describing him as a master does not do his talent justice. We are so grateful we were able to share this experience. Every bite was an adventure.

Konro changes the game and breaks every barrier. The vibe is laid back, yet the highest level experience in service at every turn. The wine paring will satisfy the most serious collector. Back vintage, around the world, excellent knowledge/education, and world class personalities. You will never find a husband wife team working together so seamlessly. The space is intimate with no pretension. Be prepared to become good friends with the team over the best meal of your life. A different ambience than you have experienced, the highest level hospitality in palm beach, period.Jacob’s food will take you on a journey and excite the most sophisticated pallet with changes at every course.Jacob and Nadia will be legends in palm beach for many decades to come. They will be booked out for a year before long, mark my words

There are restaurants, and there is Konro. There are tasting menus, and there is Konro. There is hospitality, and there is Konro. I never expected the experience we had. Sure, I knew it would be good... but I never expected this. From the moment you walk in the door you're greeted with a stunning venue, delectable smell, and the most kind hospitality you've ever experienced. Each menu item is progressively better than the last, and the wine... oh the wine. I've eaten at just about every tasting menu worth mentioning in the US: Aliena, Ever, Next, Eleven Madison, Le Bernadin, and so many more. Konro hands down blows them out of the water. The Wagyu was the best bite of steak I've ever had, and the meal overall is easily the best we've ever experienced. Two negatives: 1) we live about 12 min away and this will be a very very expensive habit and 2) the secret will get out and it will become increasingly difficult to get a reservation. RUN do not walk for the best meal of your life.

Attended Chef Jacob Bickelhaupt’s pop up restaurant in Chicago about 5 years ago and never forgot that amazing experience so when we found out he was opening a restaurant in Florida, we flew from Seattle just to dine at Konro. Crazy effort you think? 100% worth the effort! Having dined at more than a few of the worlds top 50 restaurants, Chef Jake in my opinion not only is right up there with the best of them, but in my experience may actually be at the top!A few of my favorites from the evening, a crispy chicken skin cone filled with a foie gras mousse, a golden egg that had a delightful grain risotto with a duck fat immersed golden egg yolk. My favorite dessert was a frozen cake like center surrounded by the lightest frozen ice cream pieces and lychee bubbles. My descriptions do not do these dishes justice as there were so many complicated layers and elements to each artistically crafted bite. I am just awestruck by the creativity of Chef Jacob!Lastly, the restaurant was meticulously designed down to the very tiniest of details. Really beautiful and designed to seat around 12-14 people at most, everybody gets a front row seat to watch this artist at work.We were lucky enough to have a private dinner with Jake and wife Nadia who is also sommelier. Chef Jake is without a doubt a master at his craft but also has this air of humbleness that just makes him so endearing. Likewise, Nadia is so charming and brings such brightness and warmth to the restaurant! She even went way out of her way to even get us reservations at another fantastic restaurant in Miami that we would not have gotten in to without her. Thank you to you both for such a wonderful visit!Bottom line, if you enjoy the fine art of dining and want to experience world class cuisine, do yourself a favor and just book your reservation. This is a can’t miss foodie dream!

Words can't begin to describe this incredible dining experience with two Michelin star chef Jacob Bickelhaupt and his wife Nadia. Having been to more than a few of the World's 50 Best Restaurants, I can confidently say watch out Top 50, there's a new kid in town! The restaurant is incredible, the food is indescribably brilliant with layers of complex tastes created from only the finest ingredients. From the coveted sake fed wagyu to a duck fat sous vide egg yolk, I promise you'll be talking about this experience for days to come! Also have to say that Chef Jacob and Nadia are the most wonderful hosts. Nadia is gracious, charming and so bright and vivacious, while Chef Jacob is a humble, master of his craft like no other. Together they create a magical culinary experience that simply cannot nor should not be missed!

The top attraction in the greater Miami area is not what you think, it’s this amazing new restaurant! Newly opened in the last week or so, I’ve been a fan of two Michelin star Chef Jacob Bickelhaupt’s artistry since his pop up days in Chicago. But several years later after hearing about his new place in West Palm Beach, my husband, daughter and I made a weekend trip from Seattle just to visit him in his new place. We were not disappointed! We had the most amazing 10 course (not totally sure cuz I lost count) meal that I may have ever had, and I’ve been to more than a few of those listed in the Top 50 around the world list! I’d share what we had but my descriptions wouldn’t do them justice, but just to say, if you’re even thinking about going or you’re reading my review, you really must go! Chef Jacob and wife Nadia are an adorable couple and just make the perfect hosts! The setting is beautiful with a 12 person Chefs counter as the only type of seating. This is indicative of their intent to make this a true experience for their patrons, and I can confirm they succeed! This is slightly over an hour drive with no traffic from Miami but in traffic it took us two hours. Still entirely worth the trip and my husband and I will be talking about this dinner for days if not weeks to come. We will be back, see you on our next trip Jacob and Nadia, we’ll be sending friends and family your way!
