I absolutely love Makebs and I’ve gone to several of your locations. I specifically go because you have the best bagels around and I’m from up north. But every Saturday I go to the market and I order an egg bagel, not toasted with cream cheese and butter. I live on Clematis Street so I bring it home with me and when I get back every single time it has no cream cheese. This has happened at least three times now. I pay extra for the product that I’m not receiving. I just got back from the market on 11/15 and this bagel had no cream cheese on it. I believe my order number was 443 today. Some of the girls at the market, they do know who I am since I consistently order the same thing.

Don’t DoorDash unless you want to wait extra long and get 4 of 5 items wrong. And if you call the store you’ll get a rude manager who won’t help. Ordeeed a wrap and paid extra, got on a bagel. Asked for no tomatoes, got tomatoes, asked for sesame, got plain, asked for toasted got not toasted. They were able to make a plain bagel with butter on though. Last order here.

Tried this place at the greenmarket. Ordered 6 bagels and wanted just one of them out of the bag with some cream cheese. Received so much attitude and a denial of that request. Against my better judgment, I went ahead and ordered the 6 bagels and one more with cream cheese. Egg bagel was good, crisp crust and chewy inside. Cream cheese was absolutely disgusting - super grainy and nasty. It’s not that hard to have reasonable customer service these days. They made this morning’s breakfast an annoying experience.

My first time in the restaurant was interesting. I ordered an Asiago bagel with plain cream cheese. I was given a French toast (I think that was it) bagel with cream cheese.

Upon giving it back, the lady said my order said French toast and not Asiago, I explained the cashier messed up (I would take accountability if I ordered something wrong) the worker then rolled her eyes at me and made me my bagel, didn’t toast it and literally just slapped on a little cream cheese. I’m torn because I love the bagels but the customer service was bad enough that I am worried about returning. A service worker should never be so rude especially when I was kind and they messed up!

5 stars because their food is great. 1 star on everything else because of the location. The old location you could park and go inside. New location you need to find a spot, and pay for parking. I drove around the block 3x and decided it wasn't worth it.

I've been going to Makebs for years!
What's kept me coming back is the excellent bagel recipe. They use to be seasoned on the bottom of bagel, which I love! That's not the case. The inside of the bagel looks and taste different.
Makebs you had the best bagel recipe!
There was no need to change!
Please let's keep Makebs that's what we fell in love! Originality, service, and flavor, things that need not change! Please and thank you

My favorite place to stop and grab a bite to eat, whether it is for breakfast or lunch. I love the friendly atmosphere and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. This is easily the gem of downtown West Palm Beach.

I’m not quite sure where to begin with my feedback, but there were several issues during my visit. First, the cashier didn’t provide a receipt, so I had to retrieve it myself. There was also no effort at upselling. I noticed another cashier eating at the register around 11:20 PM, which makes me think there should be a designated break area.

Additionally, I saw the kitchen staff drop a bagel on the floor; she picked it up but didn’t change her gloves before getting a new one, even though the gloves had slightly touched the floor. Other kitchen staff texting on the phone while preparing food. Which is crazy to me. While I really enjoyed the bagels, the poor customer service and potential kitchen violations have led me to decide that I won’t be returning. I’ll got to another bagel shop with better service and handle food the right way . I’m just customer that expects a better experience. Especially for just 2 bagels
