Mama Claire's Jamaican Restaurant & Grill

I visited this family own restaurant with my daughter during our visit for a conference, and I’m so happy we chose this place. The oxtails dinner with rice & peas was absolutely delicious, of course with the extra gravy! The seasoning was just right, it wasn’t salty, but was very flavorful. The atmosphere was great and my conversation with one of the owners daughter was great as well. I can’t remember her name, but she had beautiful teeth, I think she said she also works in Denistry. It was so good, we came back two days later, but sadly, they were out of oxtails. So, I ordered the fried chicken dinner and it was delicious as well. I met another sister who helps out on Mondays. I can’t remember her name, but she was just as nice. I will definitely visit them again on my next trip.

Some of the best oxtails I ever had. Super fresh and tender. The soursop juice was great, and I even sampled the curry chicken; so good. The team was so nice, it was great talking to them

The jerk chicken is great
And the pepper shrimp is really tasty
Really nice place to chill out especially on a Friday evening and relax with some nice music

I am impressed with the food. I came here because of the good Google reviews and anytime I'm in the mood for oxtail this is my place!!
The rice is so fluffy and nice. Not to forget the tasty oxtail. Not too greasy and made with lots of spices like bay leaves and a hint of pimento!
Hands down the best around town 😉 take it from a Jamaican!

My first time here & the service was soo great, I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas with oxtail gravy. I’m Haitian and I enjoyed the soups there!!! I am new in the area and it took me a minute to found them.

5 stars!!! A hidden gem! The large oxtail dinner is very filling! Oxtail cooked to perfection (tender and meaty). The restaurant was clean and accommodating. The server was amazing! We will definitely visit this restaurant again!!!

I said let me try this new restaurant. First the food is over priced for the portion size I paid 16 for a small curry goat to literally only get 5 pieces of meat and then my food was so hot you could tell they took right out the microwave. I should have drove the extra couple min to my usual place. Sorry guys I really wanted to like this spot and support.

Home away from home. Where you feels like you dining with family.

We were vacationing at Singer Island and searched for a spot to enjoy some Jamaican food. Visited the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I had the brown stewed fish and hubby had the chicken, but only after an ackee and saltfish appetizer. It was all delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to visiting again.

Mama Claire’s was fantastic. The food was authentic Jamaican, full of flavor, fresh ingredients, and served hot straight from the stove. Only thing warmer and more inviting were the people. And the price point can’t be beat. Count me in as a new regular customer!
