If you aren't a vegan, you will want to be after trying this place! They do a fantastic job in mimicking several traditional Dominican dishes that are usually meat heavy with plant based alternatives. I would of never imagined that could be possible (I grew up eating Dominican food) but they accomplished it! Food: We have tried the mofongo, impossible burger, calamari (made with mushrooms, you would never know), chicharrón meal, the rice plate, and VIP house rice meal(not all dishes pictured). The seasoning and flavor were spot on! I didn't even miss eating meat in these dishes lol....My favorite out of everything was the calamari appetizer my goodness it tasted like the real thing! Atmosphere: this restaurant is located in Northwood and its a nice quaint spot. It's very spacious indoors with limited outside seating. I wouldn't say the atmosphere is anything special. Drinks: they make a lot of homemade juices, smoothies, and coffee blends with non-dairy products. I enjoyed having a cafe con coconut milk which I haven't had before! They also have a great dessert selection which are also all vegan options and will blow your mind!

This place deserves 6 stars and I'm not lieing. The only issue is that they are not in Broward. They would take all my money. The food is so so so so good and comforting. Now to hear they are closed temporarily I hope it's temporary and not permanent. That would be tragic. This place open back up October 31 as it states on Yelp. Trust me try it out it will change your vegan life.

Let me tell you how I got hooked. A vegan friend of my sister's recommended,she loved it and invited me. I was skeptical about vegan food,even though I like eating healthy. But I eat meat once in a while. I loved the food and next I invited my family.So now we all love the restaurant. Specially my teen child who tells me: " mom can we go to Mama's Vegan I'm craving Jack fruit chicharrones and picadillo". I'm surprised!! You know how kids are about healthy eating.Our favorites are tostones with picadillo. Chicharrones so good. We've tried both but the winers are the Jack fruit ones. Mofongo,Chicken nuggets, rice and beans all the smoothies,no exception,pecan pie. The juices so good.In other words we love their food,service and atmosphere. Even though we live far we go there once in a while.

Finding decent vegan food is a challenge. The tacos were very good, and the "chicken" sandwich was also very good. And for my wife that it is Vegan AND gluten-free meant finding something she could eat was easy. We still need to try the vegan gelato. This place is a gem.
Everything is amazing just phenomenal! I've fallen in love with this place just so sad to see it go. Won't find anything better than this for vegan in west palm.

I'm addicted to the food at this restaurant, they never miss! Everything that I've had on the menu so far has been amazing! Always warm, ingredients taste fresh!!!Great taste, great presentation, eco friendly containers.

I want to start this by saying I AM not vegan, but my best friend is. She dragged me into Mama Vegan kicking and screaming. I agreed to try something new, and I’m glad I did. I had the calamari salad and I was astonished at how GREAT the food was. It was so good that I’m going back today and I can’t wait. It made me rethink how I eat and I just might start with a vegan meal one night a week.

Great Vegan spot, however, the voxtail was waaay too spicy for me. The menu says mild, but mild it was not. The house rice has good flavor, but also has a kick. The mofongo was good and I had to fill up on it because the voxtail was unbearable. The portions were very generous and the prices are fair.

Yum! Everything we ordered was so delish! My 12 year old even loves this place. The veggie burger was too good?! The double decker beyond burgers with vegan cheese is just awesome. The loaded nachos are so fresh - the first time I have every had them like that! The banana nut smoothie and the power smoothies were like a dessert. Original and delicious vegan food! We will be back ❤️?
