Drove up from Miami for a local concert and we were in the area. Searched online and this place had decent reviews for breakfast.
We were a party of four and only waited a few minutes to be seated. Place is nice and small and feels like a local joint, which is great. Our waitress was pleasant but seemed pre-disposed and kind of aloof. We ordered and waited, & waited... we saw several similar and larger groups of people come in after us and most had finished and left while we were still waiting for our meal.
We finally got our food which was very good! The homemade cornedbeef hash and home potatoes are excellent. The grits were tasteless and the eggs on the breakfast sandwich were hard fired dry. Also, I never got my whole wheat toast? Still waiting...
I wanted to leave a 10% tip, but our party voted for a full 20% since it was our first time. I feel like not being locals we were overlooked by the waitress. We noticed other servers hustling and multi-tasking while ours quietly disappeared only to bee seen 2-3 times.
