Breakfast completely different. Human service with heart. Even if things aren't going well and a guest complains. Then the staff looks for a solution. Friendly. I wanted two tea bags. No problem. I wanted a pillow. No problem. And if the sun bothers you? No problem. And the omelette is still made fresh. Real eggs. No tetra pack. The croissant would be better warm. And I prefer the potatoes without the peel. And I find the bottle of water questionable. Cleanliness. I'd like to have breakfast again tomorrow. I'm curious. But I'm hopeful. Keep it up.

I loved the service and commitment I got from Proper Grit! The food was just wow !!!
They made us feel welcome, they went above and beyond for my children and my family.
Shout out too
Ruth, Errol, “quack quack”Juan, and G were all lovely and served my 2 children under 4 like they were their own.
Nothing beats this experience ! Thanks to the staff here
The location can not be beat it’s a block away from basically everything downtown!
And please go try the avocado toast, or the pioneer breakfast and the silver dollar pancakes
Yummy

Wow! So happy to have found this place! We went for breakfast. The food was fantastic and the ambiance exquisite. Ruth the hostess and Juan the waiter took such great care of us! We look forward to going back, most probably next week. Also looking forward to trying their rooftop restaurant for a nice evening.

I have been here on two separate occasions. Once for dinner and a second time for cocktails at the outside bar. My first experience (dinner) was great, the food was superb and the ambiance inside as well as our waiter were all great!
On my second visit (about a week ago), I had a friend in town and we went to the bar for a couple of cocktails (later in the evening). The bar itself was not that busy with maybe two small groups inside and one group outside next to us at the bar. The bartender could seem to care less about us being there and the service was extremely slow for how empty the bar was, once she gave us cocktail menus, she took forever to return and I could see her through the window just watching videos with what I assume was another staff member, or friend, not sure. Either way we ended up leaving. I tried letting the hostess at the front know about the situation on our way out and she proceeded to tell me to wait so that she could call the manager and bartender over to talk at that moment, which made me and my friend feel very uncomfortable so we just said no thank you and left. Overall not bad, but for the cost and location the service should always be up to par.

Had a fabulous birthday. experience for their High tea. We walked in and were complimented by the front desk staff and politely guided to where the Proper Grit entrance was, they asked about dietary restrictions and all pastries were made to accomodate those restrictions. The server allowed us select our teas and each snack was so tasty we were pleasantly surprised that we were full at the end. The ambience, the food, and service were top tier.
Parking was the slight challenge, we didn't see a valet person, so we went in two circles and then called the hotel and they gave us parking garages in the vicinity as options as well, the parking garage is very close
Dietary restrictions: They ask prior to tea if there are diet restrictions have the pastry. chef provide accordingly.

Just very average...beautiful restaurant, however. Service was slow and not at all attentive. Daughter's breakfast was cold. Took a long time to get a waitress and even then it was only after I flagged someone down. I asked for a to-go cup for my latte but she never returned. Food was fine-restaurant decorated beautifully-but worth going elsewhere.
This place had character and a relaxing ambience. The mood was mellow as expected for a Monday evening. The food was good and so was the service. The soft lighting and pleasant atmosphere just right for a date night.
Excellent restaurant. I had the lobster and shrimp capalinni. Very generous portion and delicious. Service was impeccible. And we got to sit next to the mayor of West Palm Beach, who is a frequent customer at Proper Grit
