This place is awesome! Everything about this place is 5 star! In the 10 days we have been here we have been twice. Both were amazing!!! We have 1 more day tomorrow & we may eat here again because it was SO GOOD!!!
This place really rocks! Friday night lobster special is out of this world. From the service to the food fares, Sassafras is truly a must visit. Chef Nick is the man. Let him pick your dish. He’s got skill. 10 out of 10. This hidden gem is worth it.
Cute place. Decent food. Friendly and attentive service, but drinks from the bar were a bit slow considering it wasn't very busy at the time we arrived. Overall, I think it's a place we'd try again.
What can I even say about Sassafras. A lot of things actually, usually when I went there I would have the hamburger or chicken sandwich. It was amazing every time. The french fries are to die for. Then Aryanna recommended I try more things. So far I’ve had the gumbo and the gnocchi. Each plate I’ve tried feels like it is masterfully crafted by an expert. One time I went with my coworkers and they all had really good things to say as well.
The service is always the cream of the crop, each waiter that has served me is always super nice and they have conversations with me that do not feel like they are just doing it cause of their job. I was there last night and a chef named Nick asked me how the gnocchi (amazing by the way) I ordered was and also conversed a little with me. I personally have never had that happen to me, its that type of treatment that will keep me coming back.
Thank you to Owen, Aryanna, Maya, Paris, Heather, Alexa and Nick. Those are just the names of the staff that I know so far. Hopefully Ill get to meet more because I will definitely keep going. If you’re ever in the area I cannot recommend Sassafras enough!
The best hand crafted cuisine in South Florida. I have a blast every time I come here and it feels like I'm at home. I've been going for a few years and love this place. I choose them for social meetings, business meetings, me time and everything in between. It's a great place. I follow them on all socials and can't wait until my next visit. The food, drinks, ambiance, customer service, personal chef touch are ALL FANTASTIC! What are you waiting for. Check out Sassafras! You won't be disappointed. Thank you for always making me feel special every time I come in. Love you all :)
Every Bite was fantastic, seat was on the cooking line, so I was able to be talk and be apart of the kitchen which was super fun! Great food/atmosphere! Get out go eat!
Another fantastic stop on the WPB Food Tour was Sassafras, and it did not disappoint! The shrimp and grits were incredibly flavorful—rich, perfectly seasoned, and comforting in every bite. You could really taste the care put into the dish. And the drinks were absolutely delicious—refreshing, well-crafted, and the perfect complement to the food. A must-visit spot with serious Southern charm!
The team was incredible! Everyone was welcoming and extremely kind. They accommodated order substitutions with ease, and cultivated a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!!
We started our night with dinner at Duffy’s (big mistake) — most of our food had to be sent back, and we left still hungry. On the way home, we decided to stop by Sassafras to try and save the night, and they totally came through! The food was delicious, the service was top-tier, and the whole vibe was exactly what me and my fiancé needed to turn the night around. We’ll definitely be back!
Had the Friday lobster special, which was a great value. Pimento cheese appetizer is a must.

For app, we got Mac and the fish dip. Both were good but nothing special. The sourdough bread on the fish dip was a bit too hard for my taste. For entree, we got chicken sandwich, fried chicken, and Brussels sprouts. Chicken sandwich was ok, came with large portion of fries but we barely touched it because it wasn’t very crispy. Fried chicken was decent. The batter didn’t have a taste and the texture was more clumpy. The chicken meat was nice and juicy but doesn’t compare to the tea brine at Batch. Bf and I agreed, the Brussels sprouts is super salty. The only item that Id order again is the pickled vegetable. We visited on Saturday night and the host with the fedora was very friendly. Kevin was our server and he was super sweet and nice. Overall, food was decent/good but not something that’d I’d be screaming to go back to. Service was great though!

We had an excellent meal! Recommend getting reservations as many people were turned away without one, especially if you're interested in the Friday lobster special.
