Shanghai’d in West Palm Beach is absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. The food tastes fresh, authentic, and perfectly balanced—comforting yet exciting at the same time. The atmosphere is fun and vibrant, and the service is just as impressive. If you’re craving an incredible fusion of bold flavors and great energy, this place is a must-visit. Truly a standout dining experience! 🥢✨

The food is out of this world. I loved the entire service from the waitress and the chef, especially the desserts and the quality of the meat.

Stingy portions, over priced and sub par service. Outside of that it was fine.

Wrote a previous negative review, owner replied and gave me an email address to follow up for a meal on them to make it right after a poor experience . Owner never emailed me back, and it seems they just reply to these reviews to make the place look good. What a scummy thing to do

Excellent experience at Shanghai’d! Stumbled in for a late lunch and was delighted by the great assortment of menu items. We will be coming back for everything but especially the Krack Fries ❤️

I’m visiting from Dallas for a work trip and I went with my cousin to Shanghai’d. At first great atmosphere good service and the menu, very appetizing and reasonably priced. Tyrell was our server and he was awesome and very accommodating (5/5). At some point a picture was taken of us by one of the staff of my cousin and I and I thought that was cute. They later come with it printed and framed and offered it to us but for payment which if told at first I would have denied the photo in the first place but $20 for an airdropped mediocre photo of us just left me confused but not upset. The dim sum for 2 was okay, the krabby paddy and egg roll were overcooked, leaving the crab dry and both very dark. Everything else was amazing. The major problem I have is that, after I ate, I washed my hands and freshened up before leaving and I see one of their line cooks leave from the toilet and neglected to wash their hands. I was shocked and followed them out to see if they would wash in the kitchen but they proceeded to put on their apron and got back to work. I informed the host calmly as we left, but was given “I’ll let my manager know” and that made me feel brushed off after having my food ruined. There are signs in Texas that say all employees must wash their hands before returning to work, I don’t know what the rules are here but… that’s disgusting.

Considering the fact that West Palm Beach lacks restaurants that serve Asian cuisine, we were curious to try this highly-reviewed place. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we had to wait around 10 minutes to be seated. On the surface, this wouldn't seem unreasonable. However, when we were directed to our table, we noticed that there were a lot of seating areas that seemed to already be unoccupied. We ended up ordering the Beef Potstickers and Korean Ramen. At a cost of $18, getting a plate of only 4 potstickers is very disappointing (highway robbery as I'd call it). It is also worth noting that it’s unusual to dine at an Asian restaurant and have to request chopsticks instead of being given them by default. Moreover, these potstickers tasted as though they were microwaved due to the fact that they were both cold and soggy. I mean, doesn't it sound counterintuitive to drench a food item that is supposed to be fried and crispy in a pool of sour sauce? Unfortunately, the Korean Ramen was no better than what we had before. For $26, we got a pretty small bowl of flavorless noodles in cold broth. In conclusion, the food from this place was very lackluster. The prices were extremely inflated for the subpar food we received. Coming from an Asian-American, this is far from being authentic. I’d like to mention that this review is not meant to be blatantly disrespectful, but our experience genuinely felt inauthentic and lacking in quality.
