As a born and raised Jamaican who was raised by a mother that cooks exceptional Jamaican food, the food at Simmer down is authentic and very good. Love the flavor. I have only found one other place that comes close and they have very limited hours.

It was worth the drive.

We had a firm luncheon and someone mentioned for me to order Carribbean. I googled great Carribbean food and Simmer Down Bar and Grill was at the top of the list. They catered to my needs of 15 people with plenty of leftovers. The food was the best presentation I have ever seen and the flavors were out of the world. The ribs melted in your mouth and the jerk chicken fell off of the bone. The rice and beans, plantains, and Rasta Pasta were all done to perfection. The gentleman who delivered the food was gracious and polite and help me set up the buffet style. By far this is the best flavored food I have tasted. The phone service with getting the order correct and being so accommodating to specifically what I needed was spot on. I will defintely be ordering again and will spread the word.

Had an incredible experience here. Customers service was awesome, super friendly people and on top of that the food was amazingggg. I’ve had some good Jamaican food in my life but this is at the top of the list. Anytime I’m back in west Palm I’ll be stopping by.

I’m a foodie and I don’t mince words when a place is not good. Simmer down delivered you hear me. Was visit Florida, looked up a place liked what I saw and I’m glad I went. We had oxtail with the rice and peas, jerk chicken with the rice as well, and the macaroni salad….. everything was top tier and we went late, Closer to closing time. The young man at the counter was very friendly and pleasant to us. Good conversation as well.

A group of 20 stopped by and we all ate til we belly full. They were very pleasant and even did what they could meet my dietary needs.
If you're ever in West Palm, don't deny yourself of a great tasting dining experience. You won't regret it. ???
