We've come here most years in the past 10 or so on an annual Florida visit in February harkening back to the smaller, limited kitchen and bar days in the old place. We were excited to experience the fuller menu yet in the same general vibe. While we missed the movie screen, more intimate confines, and live music of yesteryear, we were happy to see that overall vibe preserved. Service was friendly and professional if not exactly as attentive as possible but really no complaints there. The food, unfortunately was a low point . The pork chop was good enough though perhaps needed more seasoning and more ... life? Pizzazz? It's hard to be as kind to the cobia skewers which were tasteless altogether ... I believe they were grilled.. but seemed somehow microwaved. Alongside, I'm sorry to say, were cold , limp, soggy tallow fries also suffering a lack of ... everything. We're not the returning food kind unless it is completely inedible which has only happened to us once or twice in 25 years... but writing this review now makes me wonder if perhaps we'd have been doing the Monk a favor ... giving it a chance to redeem itself. Our Negronis were excellent, the shared pot de crème fun and very good. We're rooting for the Monk and perhaps another 365 days will turn our hearts to give it another try in 2027.
We visited on Valentine’s Day and made a reservation in advance. When booking, I confirmed over the phone that we would be able to enjoy Happy Hour from 5:30–6:00 pm and then order dinner afterward. However, when we arrived, we were informed that Happy Hour is not offered on weekends or holidays. Although this was different from what we had been told, we completely understood and were fine with it.
Shortly after, the manager approached our table in a very rushed and confrontational manner, asking loudly if we were “the happy hour people” and firmly stating that Happy Hour would not be honored. This was uncomfortable, especially since we had already accepted the hostess’s explanation and were not insisting on anything. The interaction felt unnecessary and was loud enough for neighboring tables to hear, which made the situation awkward.
That moment did affect our overall mood, which was disappointing on a special occasion. That said, the food and drinks were truly amazing, and the service from the rest of the staff, especially the ladies who assisted us, was outstanding and very attentive.
With better communication and a more professional approach from management, this would have been a perfect experience!

We went for Valentine's Day. They sat us right by the front door and had ppl standing next to us all dinner as they walked in and waited. The restaurant is loud yet the food was tasty. I would have preferred to have been seated outdoors.
We had an amazing time a dinner was fantastic. We enjoyed the lemon anchovy pasta, steak frites and wagu pasta. All three outstanding
Had a great time and very much appreciate you holding the corner booth. Will definitely be back!
Great surprise! Read the reviews and we decided to try it, Glad we did. Staff is beyond great, very engaging and helpful. Ceci, our server was delightful! Tasty dinner, limited menu, so check it out beforehand. We will definitely return.
Honestly such a great spot. We sat in the corner booth, Hillary took great care of us, and everything she suggested was spot on. Food was delicious, portions were perfect, and the manager Tarriss was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a 10/10, would come back for sure.

I was gifted a card here by an out of state family member. First impressions are everything, and this place was near impossible to get into contact with- after multiple attempts via phone call and email to manager Tarriss.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted curtly by host staff. They made it very clear that we were not welcome at the time. Seats were limited as it was 5:30 pm. There were no seats at the bar available, so we decided we’d like to stay just for a drink. Our decision seemed to cause mass confusion as to where they could seat us. We were “allowed” to sit as long as we were up before 6:30- which was fine by our part. However, the rest of our interactions were rushed by staff. Our server was sweet and the food surrounding us looked delicious, however overall it didn’t match what they were presenting online. My mojito was not muddled or served with mint. Tarriss the manager made sure to come interrupt my payment process to make sure I tipped the server (insinuating that we had never dined out before). As someone who frequently dines in Michelin rated restaurants, it was disappointing. There was not a single inviting or warm welcoming experience. This place wants to desperately fit in with West Palm, and leaves much to be desired.

The atmosphere is nice. The service sucks. The food sucks. The wine is meh. I don't understand why this place has such nice reviews.
We ordered the cauliflower appetizer. It was nice. The server suggested the steak frites and the ox tail ragu. We got both! The steak frites were awful. The steak itself was tiny, but good flavor. The frites were served cold, zero salt, and tasted like old tallow. The ragu was much better, tasty but nothing to write home about.
They tried to over charge for drinks. We ordered a glass of wine and two bourbons. They charged for the wine and three burbons. When we brought it to the servers attention, she didn't believe us. We had to explain that we ordered the second Bourbon and it never came so we had to ask twice for the second order. 🙄
The whole time the server acted annoyed that she was there.
It was not busy, we had reservations to celebrate our anniversary at 5pm (when they open) before a show.

Had a great night at The Blind Monk. Hillary (more like Chillary) was awesome, super friendly and on point, and the drinks were fantastic. Perfect spot for great cocktails and even better service. Will definitely be back!

A few vegan items on the menu (try the eggplant and pasta). Incredible fantastic Italian food at The Blind Monk – well worth visiting. Scores only 4 stars on atmosphere due to pipped in music, such as Led Zeppelin, playing in the “background” as you try to converse.
