Pier 8 Seafood Bar & Grill

I chose this place to give it a try and I really wanted to sit outside, but if you’re going to pay the big price for a seafood boil it should at least be tasting good. It wasn’t terrible we ate it, but the sauce was extremely salty. I got the house which is a mix of all the flavors, it was just too salty. The rest about the experience was good, the buzz cut Cuban waiter is awesome!

So First id like to give a huge shoutout to Pedro! I had my 24th bday dinner tn 03/16/2025 and called and made a reservation 2/3 weeks in advance for about 20ppl. We got there and sat down at our table. I will say we know that they were understaffed but were not overly busy. We waited almost 30 min to just get a drink order in. After 20 min from us arriving and not getting acknowledged we were about ready to get up and leave but drove over an hour to get to Pier 8. They had to resort to turning ppl away at the door and this was on a sunday night. The staff was arguing about who was gonna take our table and Pedro ended up taking it which he was amazing and on top of his game not just with our table but the other tables he had to. I wanna say there was two waiters, a hostess and a bartender inside and outside. The food was really good but mine was cold by the time it got to me and he already looked so stressed i didnt wanna say anything. I do not plan on wanting to go back but If you go ask for Pedro bcas that man is great at his job.
Side note I am handicapped and the bathrooms are not the easiest to get in and out of if you are in a wheelchair.

All in all i think they were just having a bad night so it could be hit or miss.

Autumn was our waitress and she was amazing !
She held great conversation and provided great company and fast service! She was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu. We need more people like her in the world !

#1 problem , ALL PARKING AREAS WERE VERY DARK. service was just ok the gal who seated us was the only thing that saved them. our waiter was obviously too busy to care for our table. I ordered KING CRAB (80.00 ) was not hot at all , and must have been way over cooked ( shells were very soft ). wife had Salmon and lobster tail she said was pretty good. overall I give it a C with the dark parking being the big negative. we wont be back.

The Quality of the food and the price was worth the travel. We traveled two and a half hours to visit this restaurant because of the positive reviews.

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, only 2 wines on list....chardonnay and cabernet....one white, one red. Barefoot brand. Food fantastic, did a boil consisting of crab legs and shrimp. Sauce, the garlic and butter....delicious! Great cocktails, hubby ordered Manhattan and loved it. Highly recommend!

Amazing boils! Reasonable prices, delicious flavor, great service! I got the crab legs and shrimp boil with garlic butter, potatoes and corn. Even had leftovers to take home. A few basic wines, good beer and drink list.
