Tropical Smokehouse

Very poor customer service. Could not speak over the phone with real person. They force you to order take out online and then add extra 3% for using credit card. They had a problem with their website and I could not speak to anyone! The website gave an error message when I tried to pay for the order. Called their phone number on website and they have computerized system saying that you can’t speak to real person, you have to email them questions. Lots of BBQ restaurants in the area and they do have humans answering the phone. Later found out they charged my credit card but I never got email saying order was accepted or reciept. They did return the payment but such an hassle. Tried their BBQ six months ago and it was good food and service. Looking at the recent negative reviews wonder if the restaurant has new management or it has been sold.

Disappointing Experience and Lack of Accommodation at Tropical Smokehouse
I'm incredibly disappointed with the service I received during my recent visit to Tropical Smokehouse. As a repeat customer, I've always appreciated their food, but my last experience was truly unacceptable.

I came in to order my normal kids' meal, as I've undergone weight loss surgery and cannot consume a full adult portion. Despite my attempts to explain my situation and show my bariatric card, the staff member I spoke with was completely unwilling to listen or accommodate. She insisted I order a full meal, which I clearly stated I would not be able to finish, effectively forcing me to waste food and money. This was particularly frustrating as my fiancé's food had already been served, leaving me in an awkward and uncomfortable position. Mine you this was our 4th visit in less than 2 months and I have never had an issue. I had explained every time and they were completely fine with it.

She was very rude, there were patrons around me and I’m having to loudly share my health information because instead of her listening to me she kept dismissing me.

This is not a customer-friendly approach, and it's especially concerning for individuals with specific dietary needs, such as those who have had bariatric surgery. For my fellow bariatric patrons, please be aware that Tropical Smokehouse is not a safe or understanding environment for your needs.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements better training for their staff regarding customer accommodation and sensitivity.

Parker took great care of my mom and I. We got a brisket sandwich and old fashioned burger both delicious. We also had our pup with us and sat outside. Hospitality was great thanks again Parker we will back

⭐ Tropical Smokehouse? More like Tropical Joke-house. 🤡🌴

Walked in expecting smoky BBQ heaven, walked out smelling like disappointment and burnt dreams. 🔥😞 My brisket was so dry, I almost filed a missing persons report for the moisture. 🕵️‍♂️💨

The ribs? Let’s just say they were fighting for their lives—tougher than my last breakup. 💔🍖

Staff had the enthusiasm of a bored sloth on a coffee detox. ☕🦥 The only thing smoked was my patience.

And the sides? Mac and cheese that clearly forgot both the mac and the cheese. 🧀❌

By the end, I needed therapy, a glass of water, and a real BBQ joint. 🚑😭

Come here if you’re craving regret with a side of sadness!

Saw review on TikTok about the Crispy Fish Sandwich and was not disappointed. Smoked and fried mahi with fire bbq sauce delivers an amazing combination. Service is very quick and staff was very kind. Parking is very tight.

Tropical Smokehouse, no longer provides good service. They use a new system where you order your own food. They have removed the personal waiter from the dining experience. My wife and I waited over an hour for our dinner, to later find out it was mistakenly giving to another table. You have to raise your hand to be seen now. Horrible experience, not like they used to be. We tired again using the take out and they forgot one of our order. We are done, the customer service is not worth the money.

The brisket was excellent , the mojo pork was excellent, the Ribs where very good. Everything we tried was great. Food came out fast. My only complaint is the ordering system. Scan a code and order on your phone is not for me. Give me a regular waiters.

Tropical Smokehouse in West Palm Beach is a great spot for BBQ with a Caribbean flair. The brisket and ribs are super tender and packed with smoky, flavorful spices that set them apart from your typical barbecue. We really enjoyed the apps too—especially the Hot & Sweet Hushpuppies and Brisket Empanada. Their famous Old Fashioned Hamburger is an extra flavorful, traditional cheeseburger. The Cowboy Cookie definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere is fast casual with a relaxed vibe that makes you feel right at home. It’s a cool twist on traditional BBQ and definitely worth checking out.
