Tropical Smokehouse

Tropical smokehouse catered my small intimate wedding and it was a FABULOUS experience all around! From placing our order over the phone, working with the team to coordinate every detail, the delivery itself and of course the delicious food my husband and I could not have been happier! If you have an event or large party coming up definitely consider using this wonderful team! The brisket is the best we have ever tasted! Our guests were raving all night about the food!

Rude service, not welcoming the food is just okay but the service was terrible and we didn’t come during a rush or peek time. Avoid this place if you actually appreciate customer service. The girl at the front today at 1:30 had a terrible attitude I added to my order twice and it seemed like a problem every time, I just wanted to try your food the menu looked interesting sorry if you were having a bad day but try and work on your customer service skills

Tropical Smokehouse was amazing! The food was so good — super flavorful and fresh. The service was beyond great, everyone was friendly and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Definitely one of the best spots around! Can’t wait to go back.

We were in the area and tried it no can't wait to return!- old school Texas type vibe, attentive staff and quick service. The food is off the hook and portions big prices very reasonable. Best BBQ in Florida by a mile!

We had brisket, Mac and cheese, fried plantains, and smoked black beans. All of them were perfect. Food comes out pretty fast once ordered. This is the best brisket I've had south Florida maybe ever. We are excited to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Fist time trying out tropical smokehouse.
Heard a lot about their brisket, so we ordered the brisket, the ribs, the collar greens, the macaroni and cheese and the cornbread.
They were delicious in this order
Rips were amazingly tender.One of a kind of flavor will definitely be back for these mind blowing.Ribs.

Absolutely delicious very wet and cheesy.
Brisket
Hronestly, a little dry but great rub.And good flavor.
Collard greens
Yummy, satisfying real down home flavor..
Cornbread,
One of a kind very moist.

Definitely worth the drive from Fort Lauderdale. This hidden gem in WPB is awesome!!! Fast friendly & amazing BBQ.
We had Mojo pork, chopped brisket & out of this world brisket empanada. Smalls the supervisor has a great personality and made the experience even better !!!

I’m extremely disappointed with my order from Tropical Smokehouse BBQ. I ordered what was supposed to be a full rack of ribs for $41 after tax, but what I received was only a few ribs — definitely not a full rack. For that price, I expected a hearty portion, not something that looks like a half order at best. The food might taste fine, but it’s hard to enjoy when you feel shortchanged. I honestly feel like I didn’t get what I paid for, and I won’t be ordering from here again unless they fix their portion sizes.

the reviews are true the BBQ meat is bland no seasonings no flavor. BUT the cornbread is amazing. empanada was amazing. Caesar salad with bacon was amazing. burger was great but very messy. fried yuka with cilantro ranch was awesome! mac & cheese was good & there was flies flying around landing on our food :/ service was great! some of the booth seating is ripped & torn up hurts to sit on

My first time at Tropical Smokehouse was unfortunately a disappointment. For a $26 meal, the portion sizes were far below what I expected. The brisket sandwich had less than 3 ounces of meat, the single smoked gator sausage I tried was lukewarm, and the yucca was only mildly warm—nothing felt fresh or worth the price. On top of that, the total came to about $90 for three people, which felt unreasonable given the quality and serving sizes. Service was lacking as well—I wasn’t asked once if I needed a refill, and my drink sat with melted ice. Overall, I left very unsatisfied and disappointed with both the food and the service.

Very poor customer service. Could not speak over the phone with real person. They force you to order take out online and then add extra 3% for using credit card. They had a problem with their website and I could not speak to anyone! The website gave an error message when I tried to pay for the order. Called their phone number on website and they have computerized system saying that you can’t speak to real person, you have to email them questions. Lots of BBQ restaurants in the area and they do have humans answering the phone. Later found out they charged my credit card but I never got email saying order was accepted or reciept. They did return the payment but such an hassle. Tried their BBQ six months ago and it was good food and service. Looking at the recent negative reviews wonder if the restaurant has new management or it has been sold.

Disappointing Experience and Lack of Accommodation at Tropical Smokehouse
I'm incredibly disappointed with the service I received during my recent visit to Tropical Smokehouse. As a repeat customer, I've always appreciated their food, but my last experience was truly unacceptable.

I came in to order my normal kids' meal, as I've undergone weight loss surgery and cannot consume a full adult portion. Despite my attempts to explain my situation and show my bariatric card, the staff member I spoke with was completely unwilling to listen or accommodate. She insisted I order a full meal, which I clearly stated I would not be able to finish, effectively forcing me to waste food and money. This was particularly frustrating as my fiancé's food had already been served, leaving me in an awkward and uncomfortable position. Mine you this was our 4th visit in less than 2 months and I have never had an issue. I had explained every time and they were completely fine with it.

She was very rude, there were patrons around me and I’m having to loudly share my health information because instead of her listening to me she kept dismissing me.

This is not a customer-friendly approach, and it's especially concerning for individuals with specific dietary needs, such as those who have had bariatric surgery. For my fellow bariatric patrons, please be aware that Tropical Smokehouse is not a safe or understanding environment for your needs.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements better training for their staff regarding customer accommodation and sensitivity.
