Oakwood Express Smokehouse & Grill

Had the chance to eat at Oakwoid Express BBQ earlier in the week. It wasn’t on our original list so we “stumbled” upon the restaurant by accident. What a great surprise it was. First of all the restaurant is very convent located on US 301/Main Street in Wildwood. Just off the FL Turnpike and I-75 exchange. Not more than 5 minutes off the path. It was cheery and bright I side. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and efficient.
We all had something different from pulled pork to sliced beef to baby back ribs. There was a special going on w the ribs. For a dollar more than the “half rack” price we could get a full rack. Jumped on that deal for sure!
All the meats were well prepared, hot and tasty. As for the sides, we sampled the bbq baked beans, fries, Mac-n-cheese and Cole slaw. All very good ad well.
Prices were very fair for the volume of food we received. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent value. Need I say more?!

The food at Oakwood is always excellent. We make the 45 min trip every so often to eat here and haven't been disappointed.

Bibi back ribs were excellent, but it was kinda hard to eat. We’ll have utensils. Oh, in my hands, eating ribs.

Georgia did an amazing job. The food was fantastic, but I would not have had the meal I did if it wasn’t for my server. She went above and beyond, allowed me to try a few of the side dishes… I don’t know how but they made Lima Beans gas! The Collard greens and green beans are awesome.
I’m waiting on the cobbler as I write this

Huge portions of both pulled pork and turkey. Good sides dishes to. Food came out within a minute or two of ordering.

I had okra and collards as sides, and they were AMAZING! The chopped pork was tasty, and provided me with 4 meals.
I was disappointed to see a staff member refilling BBQ sauce bottles with a giant jug of Cattleman's sauce. I expected an original sauce. But, I lived in KC for 15 years, so that probably skews my perspective.
All in all, a great experience that keeps on giving!!
