We had dinner there on 4/8/24. Our server David was attentive and delightful. The food was excellent. I had the salmon, prepared perfectly....though i preferred it without the sauce. Mushroom bisque perfect. The French onion soup was very good and not oversalted as so many are.Carl had one of their evening specials which was a pork cutlet pounded thin stuffed with sausage and cheese, breaded and baked . More.them highly recommend!

The staff is extremely rude, DO NOT eat here if you value how you are treated while dining in/or at a restaurant. I had out-of-town guests visiting Ft. Lauderdale for the first time and was embarrassed by the treatment from the wait staff. I would not recommend this place and will never return.

I went here for my birthday with my black friend. I never experience this rude and racist attitude before. The service josh would not even wait on us. They even had a argument about who going to wait on us. The server we did get had a attitude the whole time. Would not return

Wonderful restaurant. My husband are still sitting in the restaurant and typing up the review. Spinach / artichoke dip was great. Husband had lasagna and I had a bone in pork. Everything was cooked to perfection. Ryan is our server. Very pleasant and efficient. We will

i've been to Chef Nates twice before it was fine. Last night it was horrible the server was unfriendly and uncooperative and he added a bottle of wine to our check that we did not order. When he corrected the check he added a surcharge when I asked the manager what the surcharge was he said when they suspect the table is not going to leave a good tip they add the surcharge to compensate the poor server. When I said I did not want to pay the surcharge he threatened to call the police had I not been there with my friends parents I would've waited for the police. I signed the check and I indicated on it I signed under the duress and I will dispute paying that surcharge of course it goes without saying I would never step foot in that restaurant again. By the way the food was lousy the potatoes and green beans tasted like they were cooked three days ago and the duck was horribly dry. We didn't complain because as I said I was with my friends parents. What a shame because it's a nice venue.

I hate doing reviews like this of local small family, and family (lgbtqi), business when it’s not great.I have been wanting to come here for years, I’m leaving sadly disappointed.I ordered the duckling. In short a rehash of duck a la’ronge. “Half” a duckling, smothered in a concoction of Mae ploy and orange peel, three “roasted” baby potatoes that were just mush, and and handful of mushy green and yellow beans with baby carrots. No seasoning, all was stone cold, the duck had crispy skin, but still had a fat layer underneath which leads this 20 year chef to believe it was chef miced then thrown in the fryer to crisp. The menu as a whole and the venue is… confused. There is no identity. It jumps from Italian, to high America, to sea food, to high gay. In short this restaurant has multiple personalities and it shows in the food and drink. Likewise it is stuck in the 80s as shown by the desert tray, cut tomato garnishes, and menu choices.I have nothing to say about the staff. They on the whole were great! Even the new guy I had!Sadly, this is one location I would never return to even though I have been wanting to for years and we share the “Chef Nate” title.Dietary restrictions: They will accommodateWheelchair accessibility: Only on the patio

Chicken Parmesan was horrific. Specifically the sauce and chicken. Chicken cutlet was pulverized to the point that there was no difference between the protein and the breading and it was so soggy and brown that I questioned whether or not it was veal. Really gross.
