Lamb chops GREAT😀

Richard Gruender

First time there. Received a $20 off for my birthday. Hardest thing was to decide between lamb chops and rib eye. Alas I did not venture into the Greek specialties. Also ordered chicken lemon soup. My only problem was that the green beans, though delicious, was too salty and I could not finish them.

Was there for happy hour and had the sampler, kefte, falafel and spanakopita, everything was excellent, though I wish I had more vodka options for my bloody Cesar.

I had an amazing experience at Ethos Greek restaurant! We ordered the salmon, saganaki, mussels, and calamari, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, with fantastic flavors that truly impressed us.

The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, and everything was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The staff was also very friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better.

If you’re looking for authentic Greek cuisine in a clean and welcoming environment, I highly recommend Ethos. We will definitely be back for more!

We were actually headed out to another spot on the drive, which turned out to not be open, so we strolled into Ethos - hoping for a nice little meal while people watching on the street.

The atmosphere is great - with outdoor seating practically on the sidewalk, a great bar and nice indoor seating a bit away from the street.

Our waiter Joey was phenomenal - quick and pleasant and suggesting just the right wine.

We started with cocktails and an appetizer - my partner had the lemon soup which he loved and told me he'd come back just for that.

I had the beet salad, which had a lovely mixture of just tender yellow and red beets, with a generous amount of fresh, crisp greens, candied walnuts and blue cheese crumbles, but it was nearly ruined by the house vinaigrette. There was enough garlic in the dressing to stave off an entire horde of vampires, and the rest of it appeared to be a strong mixture of lemon, salt and vinegar. It would have been much nicer with something slightly sweet, perhaps a nice honey vinaigrette instead. You don't get a choice - unless you think to ask first.

We both decided on the Scottish Salmon for an entree, which was listed on the menu as a house specialty. It came with spinach rice and something they called green beans, but appeared to be just one step short of a beverage.

If I had to bet, I would have assumed the green beans came straight out of a can and then sat in a boiling pot for an entire afternoon. There were some flecks of "stuff" in them, but the whole mess was so overcooked that the flavor profile was more like wet cardboard so it was hard to tell what they were.

The salmon was mushy - frozen perhaps and then badly thawed? It did have a nice bright lemon caper sauce, which did little to help the texture. The spinach rice was nicely done and tasty. Portion size was typical restaurant fare - enough on the plate to feed two adults and a child.

For dessert we had the cheesecake, which my partner said was divine, and I had a vanilla custard thing that was served over bits of baklava and was very near a tira misu and was also great.

In the future I'd stick to the salads - but steer away from the house vinaigrette unless you are a garlic fan. The desserts - as we sampled them were also great, and you really can't beat the atmosphere if you like to people watch - and if you end up sitting facing away from the street, the kitchen is open to view and can be entertaining as well.

Cocktails, appetizers, two entrees, wine and dessert ran to about $75 per person, including a generous tip. It's not the waiters fault the food is overcooked so be nice to them.
