I was pleasantly surprised to find a Nicaraguan restaurant in Wilton Manors. I had to try it out! This fritanga is different from others as they cooked their carne asada (grilled steak) when you order it. So you get this hot juicy steak freshly made instead of a dried piece of meat sitting on a heating rack for hours. They of course have fried cheese, amazing gallo pinto, plantains, and some other goodies too. The portions were great! I had to take some home. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a hearty meal that will surely satisfy.

This small unassuming eatery is fabulous. The carne ensada my favorite. Affordable and simple all in one spot

the carne asada is definitely seasoned with a lot of lemon/lime, but overall the food was edible.

Worst Nicaraguan food ever taste. The soup was horrible and the gallopinto nasty and to top it off so expensive. We had to throw the food away. You guys are giving bad rep to Nica food.

I came here because I was with my Nicaraguan friend who have heard about this place in Wilton Manors. Although I now know not to trust people and just trust Yelp. When we first walked in, we didn't have a good impression of the food display, and honestly neither with the customer service. It wasn't very friendly. But we stayed anyway, because we were hungry and we felt bad to walk out. For me it wasn't bad food, just not what you expect from a Nicaraguan fritanga. I have even tried this same place in their other location in Hialeah. And it was so much better! My Nica friend, said it was not good. The food was dry. In other words. We wouldn't go back to this location.

Delicious and authentic central american taste. Friendly and attentive staff. I enjoyed every sip of my Toña beer and brought me back to my college days with the whole experience at Fritanga.Definitely comming back for more soon.

After a year, my husband and I decided to give this place a second chance, it was a bad idea. The place did look clean, we went on a Saturday for lunch and ordered two carne asadas with gallo pinto for take out. One with maduros (sweet plantains) and another with tajadas (green slide plantains). Well, we get home and one order had 2 1/2 burned tostones. I called the store back and the lady said that I ordered tostones and that she even wrote it down. I told her that whatever they gave me where burned (picture as proof) and the madures were 3 small pieces. The Gallo pinto has no taste at all, whoever is cooking they do not know what they are doing! We will never go back to this place, not even for a refund of the tostones.. The only good thing was the salad. And their menu is wrong, fried cheese is now $3.00 not $1.75 as their menu claims…

Oh man we are so disappointed, we came here a week and a half or so ago and a very nice lady cooked our food fresh and it was fantastic flavors so good like in Miami. Then we drove the half hour today to get dinner; it was a younger girl and guy cooking the steak was gross it was so red inside after we asked them to cook the steak well done. We are not ever coming back had to throw the food away what a waste of time and money. This place has So much potential but not if you can't provide quality food Everytime.

Good is average at best and the service is awful. Have them another try recently and the young lady was extremely rude and acted like she was doing me a favor by attending to me. I walked out.

I ordered the carne asada with tortillas on uber eats and the tortillas were stale they taste awful and the food doesn’t even have salt, the meat is really tough and poorly seasoned i thought it would be good but to my surprise it was bad 1/5 would not recommend.

I'm from Nicaragua, I know a good gallo pinto and carne asada. I didn't like the food, I wanted to like it, it's super close to where I work. The cacao is good tho. I rather drive to sunrise and pine island!

I've tried to order from here a few times and the carne asada is like beef jerky. The rice is raw and the plantains have been cold (like fresh from the refrigerator cold). Was really hoping this was good nica food in this part of town but was sorely disappointed

I was in the mood for late night Nicaruguan food and my husband was not willing to drive all the way to Miami. So I checked and found this place. We went and ordered a quesillo for me and my husband ordered a nacatamal. The food was surprisingly delicious and very authetic, (my husband is from Nicargua). The place was very clean and what we ate was very good. Will definitely be visiting again.
