Proof feels like one of those places that gets a lot of attention and support on social media, partly because one of the owners was previously involved with the well-loved and genuinely interesting spot Bubbles & Pearls, which unfortunately closed.
That said, when it comes to food, Proof is unlikely to impress. The menu is fairly basic and leans heavily toward standard American bar fare: small portions, fries, fried chicken legs, sliders. It’s hard to call it a culinary experience.
Another issue is that many of the dish names feel intentionally creative but don’t really reflect what you actually receive. The descriptions can be misleading and create expectations that the food simply doesn’t meet.
The bar itself is decent, and the cocktails are actually quite good. However, the wine selection is very limited. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, making it a nice place to socialize.
Overall, Proof is not a destination for food. It’s more of a spot to meet friends for cocktails and light bites. If you go in with that expectation, you probably won’t be disappointed.
But you shouldn't expect more.

We had the BEST experience at Proof in Wilton Manors. From the second we walked in, the atmosphere was incredible — stylish, welcoming, and just such a fun energy. We even had the chance to meet the owner, which made it that much more special. You can truly feel the passion and pride behind this place. And let’s talk about the food. Every single thing we ordered was outstanding — beautifully presented and packed with flavor. What really impressed us was how amazing the gluten-free options are. Not just one or two safe choices — actual thoughtfully crafted dishes that feel just as indulgent and exciting as everything else on the menu. That’s rare, and it matters. If you’re in Wilton Manors, this is a must. We’re already planning our next visit.

Love this place and I'm glad it took over for Chef Nate's. It serves new fresh small plates and craft cocktails. Unlike other places on the drive (Wilton Drive), the bar tenders are professionals and mix great drinks. The prices are very reasonable. Don't know why google says $50-$100. My drink was $13 and the small plates were around $12. Try it.

My God, what amazing food! I’m usually very picky when it comes to food, and I can tell you this restaurant is excellent and the service goes above and beyond. I highly recommend it!

Last night, my foodie friends and I went out on our perpetual quest for proof that there is always a new restaurant born with a special gift—like a young virtuoso—and we found that proof at Proof on Wilton Drive, in the heart of Wilton Manors.

Wedged in the middle of a lively stretch lined with a diverse collection of excellent restaurants, Proof features a wide-open front wall that connects seamlessly with the outdoors, offering full European-style sidewalk dining under the stars. Although it was ice-age cold last night, some brave souls were undeterred by the frigid weather and chose to dine outside, huddled near live gas fire torches that must have kept their tables comfortable, while the indoor dining area remained warm and cozy. A full bar occupies nearly one-third of the interior, adding to the inviting atmosphere.

If you’re looking for the “proof in the pudding,” you won’t find it there—but the Proof is in every single dish they serve.

I am truly impressed with the newest restaurant in Wilton Manors. The service provided by Vanessa and the exquisite dishes prepared by Chef Marcy are absolutely outstanding. It is evident that the establishment has been elevated in both food and service. I would like to express my gratitude to Dave and David (the owners) for bringing their establishment to South Florida..

Went for their first day of brunch on Saturday. I have been to Proof before just to the bar for happy hour and it was great! Brunch was ok. I know it was the first day so I will cut them a bit of slack. The food though was good but very small portions for the price. The server was great except they need to figure out how to bring the food out at the same time for all guests at the table. Ours was very staggered, probably about 5 minutes between each plate coming out. The bottomless Aperol spritz I was told was amazing. My friend and I got bottomless mimosas. Not so great. Mostly orange juice and after 1 carafe it was just too much so kind of a waste of money for just OJ. The cinnamon roll was amazing! Don’t think I would go back again for brunch but for the bar and happy hour definitely.

I had the pleasure of stopping into PROOF Wilton Manors this evening for some eats and drinks. Even from the street- u can see- this is not your typical Wilton Manors type spot. It's lighting, colors, bar, seating and overall ambience is 10/10. The menu both drink and food- is a unique culinary selection. From start to finish- the service and the flavors and food quality was exceptional. Each food item has a culinary twist that lifts your senses as you are eating. The portions are not large- however; the prices are so well priced that you can comfortably order more than one item and stay within your budget- and get an even cooler culinary experience. I was with myself this evening - but I assure I I will be back with guests- and we will probably just order one of everything. The owners are lovely and welcoming. Marcy- (Mama Marcy as we call her) welcomes everyone with open arms and her perfect charm. The other staff was equally pleasant and lovely. So.:... the Proof...... is at PROOF! See y'all soon .

Proof in Wilton Manors is the kind of place that nails the sweet spot between casual and elevated--you can roll in relaxed, but everything around you feels intentional. The dining space is cozy and poignantly decorated, with a warm vibe that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile.

Let's talk cocktails: top notch...crafted, balanced, and beautifully presented. The service is truly above and beyond. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed in a way that makes you feel seen, comfortable, and a little bit special.

The small plates menu is a delight, and you have to get the chicken oysters and the Drunkin Drummies--so much flavor, cooked perfectly, and the kind of dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. You can tell the chef and kitchen team are obsessed with details, and it elevates the whole experience. Those thoughtful touches show up everywhere, from the cocktail presentation to the food plating.

Even better: the staff clearly wants you to have a great time. It's not just hospitality--it's heart. If you're in Wilton Manors, don't miss the chance to visit this local gem. Southern-infused perfection served with kindness and love. I'll absolutely be back.
