The location of Violet's and Zen's is great, and the ambiance seems promising at first glance. However, the experience quickly becomes disappointing. Upon arrival, the place felt empty and unwelcoming. There was no one on the first floor except for the sushi chef, who was casually chewing and barely acknowledged us with a greeting. When we asked if the place was open, a server finally appeared and confirmed it, directing us to the second floor.
While the second floor looked somewhat better, the overall vibe remained lackluster and boring. Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for the underwhelming atmosphere. The dishes arrived at different times, with the appetizer coming out alongside the first main course, which only added to the disjointed experience. It felt overpriced for what we got, leaving us with a sense of regret. We came here hoping to explore a new spot and enjoy some good food, but it just didn’t happen. It's safe to say I won't be returning.

George, the beverage director, was so nice and hospitable. He created his own cocktails for me after I was a little indecisive and everything was delicious ! I got a short rib curry dish and it came right off the bone and came out exactly as described. I recommend coming if your in the mood for a yummy Asian appetizer and craft cocktail

We went on a Saturday night after 8:30PM and we were the only table. Service and drinks were good but food was meh.

The food is terrible + health code violations and rampant public alcoholism via the owner Ben.

Food was really good, but it seemed like they were understaffed during brunch.

The food is good but the music is LOUD. Also, they have these young women in black cocktail dresses and ridiculous high heels walking around pushing shots of tequila or rum and asking to take your picture for whatever purpose. Very South Beach and not Wilton Manors. They couldn’t have young sexy guys pushing shots?

I was looking forward to trying this fairly new place on the drive, especially with friends that I had not spent time with in a while. We arrived and were told that we could dine upstairs in the open patio area. The upstairs was busy and is not really set up for dining. The seating is more bar/pub style. So we went back downstairs, which had one couple seated. We took a table and waited.. after some time we were asked if we wanted to place a drink order. One of our choices was a signature margarita. The drinks took quite a while and during the wait two other servers told us they would be taking care of us. We ordered food and then the drinks came. The signature margarita was disappointing, not so special and maybe it would have been better if it was served fresh, not 10-15 minutes after it was poured. The food arrived piecemeal and again it would have been better if it had been served fresh and all at the same time.

This is the new flavor profile you've all been missing - it's not the traditional Asian flavors - it's Asian fusion flavors at the next level! The duck spring rolls, the Thai meatballs, the soft shell crab bao buns, and chicken satay were exciting - and their respective sauces - I would bottle and sell that! Also the mezcal cocktail is fire. This is the vibe, food, and view (the balcony is sweet) morning from WM and OP. Looking forward to my next visit!
