Went in for lunch and had the pugnacious pig sandwich and the half rack of ribs. The service was friendly and efficient. The sandwich was tasty but nothing mind blowing. The standout was the ribs. They were juicy and fall off the bone and delicious. Highly recommended. Seating was outside meets in so interesting. Didn’t love eating with dogs around. Great place with decent pricing.

Yellow Dog Eats is a charming spot with a laid-back, colorful vibe, perfect for enjoying BBQ, sandwiches, and craft brews. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the patio is a nice touch for dining al fresco. The food itself was delicious—flavorful, well-prepared, and the portions were generous enough to last me several days, which was a pleasant surprise.
However, the pricing left me scratching my head. While the menu prices seemed fair, the final bill was nearly double the cost of the food I ordered, which was unexpected. Perhaps this is just the reality of dining out these days, but I felt the final price should have been more reflective of the meal itself. It would be helpful if the pricing or additional charges were clearer upfront.
Overall, I enjoyed the food and atmosphere but would recommend paying attention to your total if you’re dining on a budget. The experience was good, but the price disparity knocked it down a notch for me.

Great vibe, early 2000s playlist, lots of big tables for big groups and a good blend of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was super friendly and good with auggestions. I got The Smokey (add jalapenos) and it was awesome, but chew carefully! Found a couple bits of bone in the pulled pork that could have been painful.

An outstanding casual restaurant worth going out of the way. I can't speak highly enough of the delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped in at the spur of the moment for a 630 pm dinner on Saturday. No waiting for seating but it was crowded on the patio. Was with wife and three dogs and seated right away. We ordered the salmon. Salad and pulled pork nachos. The nachos were good but I would have like a bit more queso. The salmon salad was light and good but I felt it was missing something. I'd still order both again. Washed it all down with yellowdog pils. Successful evening.

I love this Yellow Dog Eats! Great food - delicious and healthy options. There are great desserts here, too, btw. We like to go look into the display case after we've had our meal and pick something special. Unique tropical seating outdoors, and plenty of seating inside upstairs. Whenever we are over on that side of town, we try and plan it around a mealtime so we have an excuse to go to Yellow Dog Eats. My sister used to live in New Smyrna, and she first introduced us to the restaurant over there. Glad to have one close by.

My husband, foster pup, & I went to Yellow Dog Eats for the first time today. The incredible reception we felt by the dog-loving staff (& patrons!) was so amazing.
We brought in our foster dog to expand his socialization & he was able to meet so many people that also rewarded his social bravery with the best treats & love. We were able to get a table where he could peruse the ongoings of a new space while still soliciting affection from anyone that passed by.
The food was also amazing (including the delectable chicken our foster Miles got)! The human wine & beer were also delicious.
Our whole family, including our amazing foster pup, felt so welcome & happy to be at Yellow Dog Eats…& we will be coming back!
