The food was pretty solid but when you combine the prices with the lack of service, I can't say I want to return. TLDR: If they offered full table service or if they improved their default side dishes or made it easy to upgrade side dishes, I would give this place 4 or 5 stars. Our family ordered:Florida Cracker sandwich - This giant sandwich is sketchily served on a cold martins potato roll but it does hold up and is good. This is an overpriced $15 pork sandwich and comes with a bag of chips.Pugnacious Beef sandwich - This is $13 and comes with rinkydink bag of chips . It really reminded me of the old school philly cheese steaks from arbys but in a good way.Kids pulled pork - Kid enjoyed the sandwich, not the chips.Kids grilled cheese - Seemed ok I guess.Small side of caprese salad - Adults liked this. Some of the tomatoes were giant, unripe and/or uncut. All of the food items were good and high quality but at the cost of $55 without ordering drinks for two adult meals and two kids meals, the prices suck. Honestly if the sandwiches came with actual sides the prices wouldnt suck so bad. But they don't they come with chips, a little lame bag of kettle chips. Or cole slaw, like people want to sit around eating cabbage and mayonaise. They have other higher quality side items but at the end of the day you have to pay an extra $6-9 for premium sides that are worth eating. Let me get a side salad easily as an upgrade. Then you've got the service and tipping culture. The girl working up front was super busy laughing with her coworker and not really dialoging with customers or providing any sort of customer service. You pay up front and they rotate that tipping screen at you. The default tip is 20-25% For like WHAT?! Y They don't have servers here, so you order up front and then walk back with a buzzer. Food is ready fast (since they are just assembling sandwiches and throwing a bag of chips down). Get out of here with the default 25% tip on the credit card checkout.... You're not serving me the food, I have to get all the silverware, no ones checking in on us. They do bus tables. Set your default tip to 10% or even better make it more optional because you're making your customer do all the work. I tapped the custom tip button and hit them with the flat $5 and still felt like that was too much. The kettle chips are offensive and the tipping culture is offensive. This place having a 4.8 is insane. People are losing the plot.

Incredible place to eat! The sauces are delicious, there is a lot of variety and the prices are affordable, and although I would have liked them to be larger portions, I think the place is very worth visiting! The sandwiches are delicious

I loved this place. They are dog lovers, let's start with that. The place as such has an incredible vibe, it is super original and the food is not only affordable, it is very good and it is not the typical fast and greasy food, it is super well cooked, I loved it.

I always seem to get something different here, I was nervous that the food would have gone down as other places have after covid but they are still just a good as I remember

I was recently visiting family for a wedding in Orlando, and haven't been to Yellow dog in years. I used to eat here all the time when I lived in Orlando. I am glad to say it hasn't changed and is still amazing. The service is great and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing.

Food was excellent. I had the Cubano sandwich with the cucumber, onion and tomato salad. Would definitely go back. Really laid back atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.

We have been coming here for a while now and I don’t know what has changed but the Steaks have been ABSOLUTELY delicious! Whatever you all have done different with the steaks please keep at it! They are cooked to prefect and look great too!

If you're looking for an irreverent, pulled pork focused restaurant with some amazing dishes, this is your place. It's been around for a million years, and it'll probably be around for a million more. Everything on the menu is tasty in its own way, and won't disappoint. On my most recent visit, I tried the nachos, which was a massive pile of tortilla chips, covered with black beans, jalapenos, pickled onions, queso, BBQ sauce, scallions, sour cream, and a gigantic pile of pulled pork. It was enough that my girlfriend and I shared it.She ordered the Elvis, which was a pulled pork sandwich on a soft Kaiser roll, topped with bacon, thick sliced (I think Muenster) cheese, and fried onions? I forget, but wow was it incredibly tasty! My girlfriend liked it so much, she already asked about going back.Parking: Most of the parking is in the back, enter to the left of the restaurant to find the lots.

I grew up in west Orange County Florida, very close to Yellow Dog Eats. I've been eating at YDE since I was in high school (20 years) and I've seen it expand over the years. The restaurant is in a historic home that was built in 1910, right in downtown Gotha. The place is quirky; photos of customers dogs cover the walls along with names/messages graffitied in sharpie, chickens hang out in the trees out front, a cat named "Montel" wanders about the property and even has his own mailbox. Since the restaurant first opened, they've expanded the seating to upstairs, they opened a bar inside, and they've majorly updated the patio area. They've also opened another location. The food has been consistently amazing throughout the years; offering a variety of sandwiches, salads, BBQ, sides, and desserts. Everything is home made, and mouthwateringly fantastic. Chef/owner Fish Morgan is very involved and super friendly. He takes time out to speak with every guest when he is in the restaurant (which is more often than not). The staff is always friendly and helpful. You order at a counter, located right inside the front entrance, and receive a buzzer that goes off when your order is ready. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for anything. Since I moved out of state 9 years ago, I've missed the whole YDE experience; the food, the people, the ambiance. When I returned to the area to visit for a few days, this is the first place I went after leaving the airport. Over the years, I've tried a lot of the menu and have loved every single thing. This time, I ordered the Florida Cracker sandwich and my friend ordered the Fire Pig wrap, both were incredible and tasted the same as I remembered. I truly miss living 10 minutes down the road from YDE, it's probably one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Me
