AVA is exceptional. And for a jaded New Yorker like me, that's saying something. The haloumi mezze is particularly noteworthy for its perfect balance of salty and sweet—the preserved citrus is genius. And for mains, the sea bass can't be beat with its dill oil, bouillabaisse sauce, and elegant fennel. The best innovation may be serving warm oat milk with the coffee (and do not skip the lavender olive oil cake). Why doesn't every restaurant serve heated cream?...
I would definitely recommend Ava to others looking for a memorable dining experience. We ordered multiple things, from the salt crusted Branzino, Snapper, Lobster pasta to shareable sides. Everything was perfectly flavored. The table side preparation and presentation of the salted Branzino was a nice touch. Wendy and Gabby were our waitress team and they amplified the experience with their attentive service. All in all it was worth it and I will definitely come back the next time...
I happened to be there on a romantic date and it is the perfect place to set the mood. The staff is very in tune with the vibe and the food was outstanding. It is expensive so be ready to drop some $.
