The food and the service is exceptional, our server Alex was amazing, he took the time to explain the menu and a little background about the place, the place is great for having conversation and the ambiance is quiet and good background music is outstanding. We definitely loved it and we will comeback soon

Chayote was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The staff were all wonderful, food was incredible, and drinks were perfectly crafted to pair with our meals. Not only will I recommend Chayote to everyone, but we will be back many times.

First time trying during Magical dining. I feel it impt. that a restaurant knock it our of the park w/ Magical Dining first time visitors, and sorry to say they did not. The vegan stew was tasty, and as for the crab cake (upgrade) average. The Arroz con pollo pegaito was dry, overpriced. Ropa vieja lasagna ok. Roja sangria too sweet, very juicy drink, lacking red wine content. Would not order the Tres Leches again. The Guayaba con Queso delicious. All said, we'll give Chayote Barrio Kitchen a d 2nd try at a later date. Our server, Lyndsay, at the bar was great, attentive and listened well

We just left here, and while the ambience was okay, the men’s bathroom had throw up in it.

Food-wise, the sea bass tacos were good, and so was the tartare. BUT the churrasco was horrible. We asked for medium well, and it came out medium. We sent it back politely, and the second one was almost identical, still undercooked, so we weren’t able to eat it.

The worst part? They still charged us for it. Even though my husband was kind enough to apologize for “not liking” the meat, the server kept it on the bill. At the end, instead of removing the $49 churrasco, the server removed the $16 tartare.

Overall, I don’t recommend this place for the price point. The menu is very limited, and the food just isn’t great.

Went to Chayote for a friend’s birthday and the vibe was great. I ordered the coconut shrimp croquettes and choripán sliders — croquettes were fine, but the sliders were AMAZING! My friend got the Ropa Vieja lasagna and it was easily a 10/10.

The downside: I asked for the Chilean sea bass, but my server never put it in. I was disappointed since I came hungry and left hungry. The food has a lot of potential, but service definitely needs more attention to detail.

Maybe, I’ll come back one day & officially try the Chilean sea bass

Tried this place for the first time for magical dinning. Really did not care for the dishes offered, ordered off regular menu. Not a big variety, they have small plates and appetizers. I got the fried cheese balls even though I ordered chorizo sliders. I pointed this out to the server but instead of getting what I ordered she swore me down I ordered the fried cheese balls...so I just ate them. Nothing to write home about. I also ordered a white sangria..(Amy's Sangria) it was disgusting tasted like a sour apple. I asked for a sweet tea, they don't offer it settled for a Mexican Coke. I had the almond caper rainbow trout which was good and the chocolate cake with some type of rum ice cream...which was also not pleasant. I gave 2 stars because the trout was a good dish and the restaurant was nice and clean. My tab was around 80.00 with tip 95.00. I would not return or recommend. I don't mind spending a 100 bucks for a meal as long as it is good and filling. This place was a waste of money and time.

Absolutely delicious. Went during Magical dinning and it wasn't as busy as I expected. The restaurant decor is beautiful with dim lighting. Bar is an option to grab a quick drink and appetizers while waiting for your table. Servers are pleasant and helped with suggestions.
