Worst meal I have had in a very long time. Server was wearing dirty pants and was not accommodating. Course one, crab cake, was fishy and ice cold in the center, sent it back and replaced it with steak bruschetta which was okay minus the fact that the steak was more like roast beef and had no seasoning. Course two, one Caesar salad and one goat cheese salad; I've had better salad out of a bag at a grocery store, lettuce was wilted, croutons were stale, goat cheese salad was floating in dressing. Course three, french onion soup was the only decent thing we were served. Final courses, filet mignon and scallops. Scallops were good but the rice served with it was hard and tasted like a salt bomb that had been under a heat lamp for a week, literally inedible. The filet, ordered medium rare, was medium well and tasted like beef stew, sitting in a tasteless sauce. It is very sad to me how this place has gone so down hill over the years. In fact, we were there to taste the food and look at the wine cellar for a large event later in the year. After this experience, I won't be hosting any event there and I will never return. The chef wasn't in the kitchen managing quality, he was sitting at the bar all evening. Guess he doesn't care to be in business much longer.

Chez Vincent-it’s old school. May it never chance. It’s one of the few places near downtown that’s easy to get to. It would be worth the effort even if it wasn’t. The staff is wonderful. The food is excellent. The restaurant is a welcoming comfortable place to enjoy an unhurried dining experience.

I’ve eaten at Chez Vincent a few times but wasn’t as happy as my previous visits We ordered the special for the evening, but as good as the previous time, but considering it was during the week, maybe it was an off time. I usually enjoy the meals there and look forward to having special occasions so I will give it another try another time but honestly that’s why I gave it only four stars.

Service was horrible. Escargot was barely warm, mushroom soup was barely warm and brought with no spoons. Had to ask the server twice for bread and spoons for both soups. Caesar salad was wilted and not cold. French onion soup tasted like it was from a can. Music was Elvis and rock and very loud. We left without getting entrees. What was supposed to be a special birthday dinner turned into an extremely disappointing experience. Will not return.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere but the quality of food and customer service was sub par. My dad ordered the filet mignon and the quality of the meat was below average and not like any other filet mignon he’s ever ordered. It was very chewy and he could barely cut it with his knife. The server and chef/owner only apologized by saying “we’re so sorry”. They did nothing to accommodate him for the issue. The salmon I ordered was slightly fishy and did not have much seasoning on it. We also ordered a bottle of wine for the table and they tried to upcharge us by $20 on the bill as compared to the price listed on their wine menu. Double check for your bill when you go!! Overall, it was an okay dinner; definitely not worth the money we spent. We will not be returning there anytime soon.

What an exquisite place to dine! Our entrees were DELICIOUS! The atmosphere and service superb! The pork tenderloin melted in my mouth and the Dijon sauce was so delicious I would've liked to licked my plate. AND Vincent himself came to our table to check that everything was done right...which it was!

Service was fantastic, appetizers and entrees were great. The sauce for the chicken crepe was a little salty but still tasted amazing. The lamb was very nicely done. Everyone in our group loved their entrees. I did not care for the desserts. I've never had an apple tartan before so it might have been made perfectly but I had no frame of reference but the texture and taste was odd. The creme brulee was my least favorite creme brulee and I've tasted many of those. The sugar was a little burnt and the custard did not have much flavor. The reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because of the check situation for groups. We knew they did not allow individual checks for groups so we all brought cash, but the check came all lumped together so we had to get the menu out and figure out how much each person owed and looked like a bunch of peasants with all our cash on the table. Super embarrassing. So I don't recommend for groups unless you plan on one person paying.
