We ordered three main dishes- sweet and sour pork tenderloin, Chiba tofu hotpot, stir fried kidney and a clear beef brisket noodle. The only one we recommend is the sweet and sour pork, because other dishes are really salty! Atmosphere is good and servers are friendly. Wish they make some improvements in the future.

⭐ Yelp‑Style Review for Chan Fu – Winter Park, FL
1 star — based on our personal experience.
My wife and I were weekly customers at this location, even though the food and service had been slipping for a while. Honestly, we kept going because of convenience. I’ve lived in Winter Park since 1977, and we were also loyal fans of the old Mills & 50 location, so we kept giving the new restaurant chances.
What happened on Chinese New Year’s Eve changed everything.
We knew it would be busy, and we waited patiently. When our turn finally came, the hostess (who called herself the manager) tried to seat us in a booth directly next to the bathrooms—despite a clearly empty, fully cleaned table sitting in the main dining room. My wife very politely rejected the bathroom‑side booth, and we decided to leave.
As we exited, we told the hostess/manager that the way we were treated felt rude and unprofessional.
We walked to our car, and this is where things became something I’ve never experienced in nearly 50 years of living in Winter Park:
A waiter — who also identified himself as the manager — approached our vehicle and, from our perspective, attempted to convince us to return in a way that felt completely inappropriate. He physically grabbed my wife’s arm, which deeply upset both of us and forced me to intervene. This was absolutely unacceptable and left us shaken.
Still distressed, we tried to go to another Chinese restaurant we frequent on Highway 50, but it was closed. Because we were so upset by what had happened, we returned to Chan Fu and contacted the Winter Park Police Department. We gave a sworn statement about the incident. The officers spoke with staff, and the waiter did not deny interacting with us.
After nearly two hours, the hostess/manager came out and issued us a trespass warning — something that has never happened to me anywhere in my entire life.
For longtime customers who supported this place from day one, this was a shocking and deeply upsetting experience.
Based on our personal experience, we will never return, and we cannot recommend Chan Fu to anyone.

THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT
Edit: this is my third time and while the food is great the service has been consistently poor every time. Missing drinks, missing appetizers, no one coming to check on me

Hands down the best Chinese food around Orlando area. Nice atmosphere and attentive service without hovering. Be prepared to spend a little more than other Asian restaurants but well worth the extra spend.

A local gem! We love their selection of hot pots and literally everything is great! A couple must try’s - sweet and sour short ribs, wings, cauliflower and pork belly, la zi fish, dumplings, wonton soup, and our absolute fave the Chongqing Style La Zi Chicken don’t pass this up!!!

I’m so glad I tried Chuan Fu. The food was amazing, especially theTwice Cooked Pork. Tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. This place definitely knows how to do authentic, delicious food.
The food at Chuan Fu is next level. Fresh, flavorful, and the service was top-notch. The Twice Cooked Pork was definitely the highlight—one of the best pork dishes I’ve had. If you’re in the area, you have to check this place out.

I eat alot of the pork dishes and usually it is very delicious. I get the pork fried rice often but this time it was not good at all. I am not sure if the recipe was changed but the pork was extremely chewy and some parts I couldn’t even swallow. I still recommend this place but maybe stay away from the pork dishes

Came here and the moment we paid the bill we were already talking about coming back. Wow ! What a great experience, from greeting to our server Alan to the amazing food we had. Everything we ordered was delicious. Nice setting, looks up scale casual but we came in super casual shorts and chill from a couples spa we had. Starting with the sweet ribs, very good flavors, the wontons amazing, the cucumber salad, we had to get another plate. And that was just apps. Now the beef dish we ordered was very good, great flavors and beautiful plates of food. We even had the dried chitterlings with chili’s. Holy shiii ! Was it good. Great spot and adding to another of my go to Asian cuisine spots. Recommended if looking for a nice Chinese sit down spot. We’ll be back sooner than later !

Thank you to the staff for an amazing experience. It wasn’t just dinner it was a quiet immersion into another culture.
The flavors were unlike anything I’ve tasted. Even hours later, I found myself reflecting on the small details the hot tea, the main dishes arriving first, the unexpected lemons and straws. I realized how often American habits overwrite tradition, even when no one asks for them.
Alex, our server, was patient and composed. He let me learn in real time, without judgment. I left not just full, but changed.
Absolutely sensational meal. The restaurant is beautiful and has a comfortable vibe and ambiance. The server was kind and attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious. I can't wait to go back

The food is very good, and the restaurant is nice and clean. The quality of the food is great. They have many Chinese dishes that you don’t usually see at other restaurants. The prices are very affordable for the quality you get. Everything was good.
