Melted our $60 dollar ice cream cake. We called the restaurant earlier in the day asking if they could accommodate an ice cream cake. They said yes and that they had a freezer. Well when we were ready to celebrate with cake at the end of dinner our server informed us, they put the cake in the fridge and it melted. They brought out a piece of tres leches cake in return. I don’t feel like that was a fair compensation, and to pay our bill at full price. They then agreed to take off our appetizer. I understand mistakes happen but you cant ruining someone cake and then act like it was our fault for bringing in a cake because “they normally don’t do that”. At the very least as a restaurant you make up for your staffs mistakes. Definitely won’t return. And not surprised by our experience after reading some of these reviews.

Had dining room reservation for today at 7pm celebrating a Bday. Arrived early and was told the dinning room and patio are closed for private event. Only seating was in bar, which was packed and loud so, we left.
I was texted minimum or 3 times confirming reservation, you’d think restaurant would have communicated changes in reservation.

I visited today , Monday July 21 during happy hour.
The manager seemed to be doing a good job, but unfortunately the bartender couldn’t be bothered to even “shake” a Margarita on the rocks.
I was his only customer, and this has to be by all accounts the worst excuse for a drink I’ve ever had. I left soon after, deciding to cut my losses early on.
I haven’t patronized this business in a while and will continue not to do so. Cocina was once my favorite Mexican restaurant, but in the past few years I definitely have seen a decline. I hope the next time, if there’s a next time, the bartender can actually bartend and not be quite so lazy.

Been here twice now and it’s delicious. I got the snapper tacos, guacamole & chips, and frozen margarita. My only complaint is the cost, and no free chips, but the delicious guacamole makes up for it. 😅 Really fun area to walk around afterwards.

My husband and I sat on the patio for over 20 minutes. No server came to greet us or drop menus. Another table sat down across from and was immediate greeted and drink order taken. I've visited Cocina numerous times over the years. After the service, or shall I say lack of tonight, I will NEVER be back again. Far better places in Winter Park to spend money at.

Drinks and food are fantastic but the service was like pulling teeth, so slow to get a check, I repeated my order back three times to add chicken and no such luck. When I told them it was wrong he never offered to correct it. Not sure if it's a giant communication barrier but I would not go out of my way to dine there again unless it was for a specific event.

Casual night out for a Mexican dinner. We ordered steak fajitas. Meat was cooked okay, not much flavor and definitely not sizzling. Margaritas were all ice and not a good value. Service was good but not great. It’s been a while since we last been here, now I remember why.

The salsa is watery and very little flavor. It was so loud we couldn’t communicate with each other without yelling. The food was good the service was good but the bourbon selection was subpar.

We got there at 11:15 for an early lunch. The food took a long time to come out. The drinks are pricey. I was surprised that they don't offer a lunch special. It took a long time to get our check. I don't think I will be back.
