We had a surprise birthday party for my Son here. It was AMAZING. We had a taco bar buffet with beef and chicken, beans, rice, chip, salsa and all the trimmings to go with it. Guest ordered their own favorite drinks from the bar and WE ALL had a GREAT TIME. The food was really good and that was the census of the whole room. It was my first time eating here and when I am in Orlando again I will drop in for sure. Highly recommend you give them a try.

My wife and I went here 13 years ago on our first date. We went again last night for our anniversary dinner and the service was just flat out bad. Our waiter didn’t give us his name. Never asked how the food was, took 15 minutes to get a refill, didn’t even show up to our table until 10 minutes after we sat down, he seemed irritated that we were there. Pretty disappointed to say the least.

Went for dinner Tamala’s was super dry the server war is such a rush all the time he came to table did not even listen to what we wanted did not even check on us after serving dinner how the food was missed some things on our order then charged automatically 20% tip on check for table of 5 which is very unusual

Just a heads up to anyone planning to eat here. For $18 you get three little steak tacos, (beans and rice are not included in that price, that’s extra). Standard chips and salsa, that’s complementary at virtually every other Mexican restaurant (that’s extra). I can think of two high profile Mexican places nearby that have this food beat hands down, and you don’t have to pay extra for chips, beans, rice?? I will not be back based on the fact management doesn’t think a basket of $.50 chips shouldn’t be brought out as soon as you side down, you have to pay for that. Good luck…

My husband and I have visited this location at least a dozen times. We come for the food which has always been amazing. The service, up until this experience, has also been excellent. However, the service we received from Paula on Friday, 7/26, was absolutely disgraceful. We sat down in the lounge at 6:59, as our reservation was for 7. It took 21 minutes to receive any acknowledgment at all. No greeting. No menus. No communication. I had to go up to the bar to ask the male bartender if I could order a beverage, simply from downright necessity. Up until that moment, I was just aggressively drinking the Gatorade I brought in with me. He was very friendly and seemed like he was genuinely trying. From that point, my family and I had to go to the bar and ask the staff for items 11 times. No one asked how our food was. No one asked if we needed anything. No one followed up. No one consolidated any steps. We had no silverware. By the time we got up and asked twice for roll ups, the food was cold. We were 4 nice people, respectful, all having worked in hospitality before or currently, and we were all SHOCKED at the blatant lack of service and respect. We left feeling like we were an inconvenience and a bother to Paula, and frankly, we were so devastated. Years of memories of excellent food and service immediately down the drain by just an all around shameful hospitality experience.

The food here had high standards, and it was extremely delicious. The achiote rotisserie chicken was a game changer. And the ambience and atmosphere were mind blowing.
