The restaurant is closed although open table took my reservation! Got there and doors locked. Bad experience since we had no where to eat and on a Saturday night at that time it was a real problem finding somewhere lease!

I made reservations in September a week in advance with my desired time/date. I arrived to the restaurant only to find out the restaurant was closed and was under renovations I was told it has been closed for several weeks. A simple call to let me know in advance would've have been nice.

A cute and lively place to eat. Definitely an older crowd In here but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The live music was really good though. The food is mostly great. I loved my Wagyu steak. The cocktails are even better. Service is great. Overall a decent place for a bite to eat and a show in the evening.

The New Standard has become one of the go-to spots in Orlando for great food and live music. I've been for both happy hour and dinner, and neither were disappointing experiences. New Standard has a great atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating. During my happy hour visit, I tried the Tropical Sangria with the crispy brussel sprouts and cauliflower, along with the Gochujang wings. All recommended. And you can't go to New Standard and not try the shrimp tacos! Those are highly recommended. Please note, they do update their menu daily. Whether it's date night or just hanging out with friends, New Standard is your spot. And how can you go wrong with great live music?? However, if you are still COVID hesitant, you can order food to go and still enjoy the show since they do live stream on Facebook. Win-win!!

Amazing drinks and food. Staff is so friendly!! Brunch is the best and this is my go to place on Sunday!! Bottom less mimosas are amazing. Their bread and spreads is my go to starter.

HI THERE! WHY AM I “YELLING?!” BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS SO LOUD, WHEN WE LEFT WE COULD HEAR THEIR MUSIC ACROSS THE WAY INSIDE MILLER ALE HOUSE! THE FOOD WAS “OK” BUT THE ENVIRONMENT IS NOT APPEALING! TRUST ME…WE WERE A PARTY OF 15 AND NO ONE WANTED TO STICK AROUND! But, if you happen to be that relic living in the sixties, wearing tie dyed winter caps (it’s summer)and a big fan of Grateful (they’re) Dead jam-band-whatever, you have found your home away from stinky patchouli home.

Food was delicious! Service was good. Music was loud and the building doesn't really have the best acoustic for live music...don't get me started on the lights. If I go back, will probably sit outside on patio or get to go.

I did not have the best experience both of my visits. I initially came with a group of friends for dinner and the there was no staff and the kitchen was super backed up. I felt awful for the staff and my friends and I made sure we took very good care of them. Even though the lady training the new employee was rather rude, I found a hair in my dinner and took two hours for our meal to come out. I decided to give this place another try but after ordering drinks and waiting forever I decided I couldn't do it this time and went else where. I hope they get a handle of their business, it seems to get busy. Maybe I'll try again but not anytime soon.

Our waitress Sierra was amazing. Gave great recommendations and provided wonderful service for brunch! Will come back.

Chicken and waffles was extremely salty and the music was so loud I wasn't able to have a conversation with my friend at the table.

In short, we were surprised about the experience. I'd suggest checking with the restaurant before you go about the band/schedule etc. for the night. In person, this spot came off as mostly a music club with food and drink options which seem decent on paper. Service was friendly. If you go around an early-ish dinner hour like we did you might be there for an extended sound check by a band playing later that night-- Not great unless you like that sort of thing or used to be a roadie. I think if it was later and the band was actually playing music --the experience would have been better. Friends had been there later at night and enjoyed the bands but didn't eat or just had appetizers --which is probably their sweet spot?

So today I had Saturday brunch at Dexter's and it was ... okay. When I walked in, I immediately saw that it was a little short staff, as no one was there to great me and there were only 2 servers working at the time. It was only me, so I just grabbed a seat at the bar and waited to be served there. A bartender, who was very nice and provided great service the whole time, came eventually and apologized for delay. So for brunch, they do offer bottomless mimosas, but it has a 2 hour limit and costs $25. Thats pretty pricey and limited for some Andre and Tropicana lol but the individual glasses are $6. So I would advise ordering single glasses unless you plan on drinking more than 4 glasses in 2 hours. I ordered a cheese plate as an appetizer, and it was pretty underwhelming tbh. I wanted a charcuterie board, but it didn't have cheese in it, and the cheese plate didn't have meat in it. So I was forced to choose between something that should just be one plate. I only liked the cheddar crumbles. All the cheese was warm and sweating, nothing tasted good together, and I wasn't sure how I was going to eat the granola like that. Great aesthetic, like a wedding cake - nice to look at, not meant for consumption. They had me with the menu, it had all my favorite brunch dishes - shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles, steak & eggs, eggs benedict ... the decision was hard, but I went with my go-to brunch dish - the shrimp & grits. The flavor was great, tasted like Creole BBQ sauce, and included andouille sausage, peppers and onions. The grits were very gritty, the consistency was similar to those instant Quaker Oats grits that come in little packets. It was okay, but I would go for something else. The place itself was cute. They had live music playing soft jazz, the band was awesome. I hope the restaurant pays them, because leaving their payment up to the customer wouldn't be nice. I would give this place another try, maybe try the chicken & waffles next time.

We were a large group, and went for a birthday dinner. To start- I ordered the bread, and the cauliflower/Brussel sprouts to share. To be totally honest- I didn't like that they charged $7 for bread- whereas most restaurants give it to you for free- however I am obsessed with bread so I had to order it. The waitress said it was homemade and really good. THE BREAD WAS HORRIBLE!!! What a waste of $7. (Don't get the bread). The other app was delicious- there were some raisins mixed in and had a curry taste to it which was amazing. I did like that one. Now for my dinner- I ordered the chicken piccata. That was my 2nd mistake. HORRIBLE!! the chicken was extremely "rubbery" and I couldn't force myself to eat it. It was like that fake chicken that just didn't taste right. It did not even taste like a picatta sauce either. So please don't order it! I didn't wanna make a big deal so I never said anything to our server because of our large group. (Nor did she ask how our food was). However, my fiancé ordered the NY strip steak- which was AMAZING! Wish I ordered that. So long story short- don't get the homemade bread or chicken piccata. Steaks are great- but pricey. I did like that they had live music though.

Wine choice was very impressive. I probably did not read the chicken piccata description well enough. I was a bit disappointed it had a brown gravy as I was expecting a white wine butter sauce. The restaurant was not busy at 6:30 or so which is one of the ironies of many restaurants that the service is slow when a restaurant is actually slow. I find service better when a place is busy. Had to actually flag down the hostess and our waitress several times. They looked bored. LOL. The solo guitarist was enjoyable and the ambiance was loud but what would be expected and not intrusive. Had a great chat with an old friend. Would recommend. Menu changes regularly and seasonally which is impressive and commendable. This is the 3rd incarnation of Dexters as I recall the original on Fairbanks then their move to Hannibal Square and now to Ravendauge. All very well orchestrated.

Loved the food. My server Charles was the BEST! My only limit to the 4 stars is I really wanted to try the charred octopus. Otherwise, food was fabulous. I ordered the salmon with a salad. Tuesday is half off bottles of wine so that was fantastic! Can't wait to try the octopus. The band was great, but really loud. It could have been that it wasn't very busy so the sound echoed a lot more.
